Wrinkle Cream Smile Lines
Wrinkle Cream - Does Wrinkle Cream Really Work?
Unfortunately, as we get older fine lines and wrinkles begin to appear on our faces. Most of the time, it makes us look and feel bad about ourselves. Once we start to notice that they have become more defined, we start looking around for solutions to this big wrinkle problem. We all want to look and stay young as long as we can, so when it comes to fine lines and wrinkles, many turn to buying skin care products like anti-aging creams or wrinkle creams to help get rid of those pesky lines.
The question is, do all anti aging and wrinkle creams work? The simple answer would be yes, but you must keep in mind that some work slower than others and their effects may vary from one cream to another. You may find it interesting to know that it is not only women who are looking for ways to stay young looking, men, have also become part of this trend as well.
There are, in fact, many wrinkle creams on the market today. It is hard to even turn on the television without seeing a commercial promoting a new or improved anti aging or anti wrinkle cream. There are also many reasons why an individual would want to use wrinkle creams, other than the obvious, of course. Some may need to look younger for a new job or a promotion, as it may require the person to have a young and energetic appearance in that particular line.
However, the most annoying thing to go through when looking for a wrinkle cream is finding the right one for you, as there are many available choices out there today. What you need to note is that different types of skin require different skin treatment. For instance, if you have sensitive skin, you will need a cream that is for that specific skin type. All products are similar in one way or another as they promise to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles in your skin caused by aging.
Many people want to know how anti aging and anti wrinkle creams really work. Basically, most creams have ingredients like collagen, oils and silicone dioxide that have molecules smaller than the skin so that they are able to sink in and deflect light. By doing this, wrinkles will no longer be visible to the naked eye and therefore make the skin, on the face especially, appear much younger than it really is.
Wrinkle creams can actually make the inevitable aging process much easier to live with, especially for those who are beauty conscious. Therefore, by helping you look younger, wrinkle creams are able to make you feel younger as well. Once you feel and look younger, others will think the same way too.
Always keep in mind that all anti aging products will not work in the same way and no product will keep you permanently looking younger than you actually are. This is because looking older comes with age and as long as you are alive, you will still grow older each year. If you have problems finding the perfect wrinkle cream for your needs, talk to a dermatologist as he will have professional advice on how to look and feel younger, by reducing the appearance of the fine lines and wrinkles on your face.

i dont smoke.. so i dont think that can be the cause of it. but i'll definitely moisterise more often now using something with a high SPF. what worries me is that i'll end up looking like a granny earlier than i should lol-
ANSWER:
Hi there,
Like you already said, moisturising is very important. It helps to keep the skin plump and well moisturised. You should try using a moisturiser that is specially for the face as this area is very sensitive however your moisturiser should include vitamin E as this is very beneficial for skin and possibly vitamin A as this boosts cell renewal, which will help renew the skin.
I use fruits of the earth vitamin E cream as this also has vitamin A and collagen which is also very very good for skinGeneral things like, drinking lots of water and having a healthy diet with lots of vitamins ( you can also take supplements from your local health store - this would be something like holland and barrats in the UK) are often overlooked because it is said so often but it's really important.
Water for hydration and overall healthy skin and a healthy diet for the vitamins and minerals e.c.t.
It's said all the time because it's SOOOOO important. Also sun protection is very important. We age because of sun damage so protecting your skin from UVA and UVB rays is very important. You should use a minimum of factor 15 and try to use sunblock if you can as this will stop almost all rays damaging the skin.
However, most of these are just preventative methods, they will help minimise wrinkles in the future and although they may improve skin quality which in turn may improve the wrinkles slightly, they will not get rid of them.
Going by the fact that you are still young, they may just be primative wrinkles ( which mean they will go, it's just sort of like a phase that will pass, it's like if you bend your wrist over you may get wrinkles on your arm, but they don't last forever they go.)
There are many creams that claim to improve wrinkles and to some extent they do, however they don't usually have the desired effects
However, i have found that pulsed dye lasers work very well for treating wrinkles, but this is usually used on older clients as it works very well for deep wrinkles.
I have also had a lot of success with client doing fruit acid peels and microdermabrasion. They boost ceel renewl and are much less invasive than something like laser. I alsoo use the dermaroller for some types of wrinkles
If you were my client, i would sugest waiting a while, using a goos moisturiser and possibly anti- aging cream and see how your wrinkles go, i would leave it probably 6 months and see if they are starting to fade( which i really think they will ) and if not, i would suggest going to see a specialist clinic.
Don't be fooled into thinking you will be having very expensive treatments, it will probably only be the cost of some skin creams out there on the market and for very minor wrinkles, you have a lot of opitons. I would suggest the best would be fruit acid peel or microdermabrasion.
But if they really other you, go and see a dermatologist or a local cosmetic clinic and they can really help you.
Make sure they are fully lisenced and reputable though.Hope this helped x

QUESTION:
how do you et rid of premature smile lines?
I'm only 16 and have had noticeable smile lines on my face since I was 14 due to acne medication and extreme stress. Like hell I have the money to get botox or surgery or even buy wrinkle cream. I can't stop myself from stressing out but I want these wrinkles gone! Everytime I look in the mirror my ego is hurt. Is there a natural way that a teenager can afford?-
ANSWER:
Start moisturizing your face. Dry skin is the most prone to premature wrinkles, make sure to drink lots of water. Make sure you apply moisturizer during your skin care regimen in the morning as well as before bed. The more moisturized your skin is, the harder it'll be for fine lines and wrinkles to penetrate.

QUESTION:
Can a wrinkle cream make wrinkles worse?
ok i don't have "wrinkles" but I am bothered by my smile lines. Two lines on the left of my mouth and one line on the right. I think I'm too young to have any kind of lines on my face.
I bought Loreal Avanced Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle concentrate (with Pro-Retinol and Pro-Lastyl) and I've been using it for the past 2-3 weeks. Maybe its my imagination, but since i've been using the cream, the lines have become more visible!!! I knew before I bought the cream that it was not going to erase the lines like the package says, but I thought it would fade them, not enhance them. I also use a Olay age-defying suncreen spf 15 evryday. I let it dry before I put the Loreal. I only put the Loreal on the lines not my entire face.Don't bother suggesting another cream cuz I don't want to become one of those people who has tried every cream in the store!
-
ANSWER:
Yes,especially if your skin is youthful and not mature enough to handle the strong chemicals in the anti aging products.
I recommend just using a regular night time moisturizer such as Biore Hard Day's Night Moisturizer or Neutrogena Light Night Cream, they are simple, moisturizing and work well, although they are not for wrinkles.
And drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep skin hydrated internally.

QUESTION:
I'm 13 and use anti wrinkle cream?
I'm 13 and I use anti wrinkle cream. You see, I have smile lines and ever since I started using it I haven't had any. My friends make fun of me sometimes (teasing basically) and my mom says it's unneccesary.I've started using face masks, face creams, face wash, anything that can help my face. So far, I've got over 10 face creams, 6 eye creams, and 9 nighttime creams. The daytime ones all have SPF 15. So far, my skin has looked better than ever and I've gotten prettier and more popular. Everyone says they love my skin and how it glows.
My mom says I need to cool it down with all the skincare products but I don't want to end up like my cousin (she has acne on her face like everwhere).
Should I cool it down or is what i'm doing fine?
-
ANSWER:
I think use less. The more you do to your skin (Especially exfoliating) makes it more sensitive. I used to exfoliate every day, which made my skin thin and red, and really sensitive. A great tip is to use Natural yogurt as a face mask once a week, it really cools & smooths the skin and makes it look young and fresh. Leave it on for 25 minutes and wash off with warm water. But go easy on the face stuff, and I think the anti-wrinkle cream is abit unneccesary. x

ANSWER:
Do you wear a-lot of make-up?
If you do, careful how you apply it(concealer under the eyes and remove your make-up) as the skin is very delicate under there.
I use olive oil with a cotton ball to remove mine and it causes less rubbing which is more gentler on the delicate skin. I personally noticed that when I have began to use the olive oil that I'll leave some of the residue on overnight to nourish the skin and my undereye area has improved.

QUESTION:
Effective cosmetic or cream to smooth wrinkles on laugh lines?
I'm 56, and I've been lucky with regard to forehead and eyes as I have only a few minor and barely visible wrinkles. By contrast, on each side of my mouth, I have deep laugh lines. I know I've earned them from plenty of smiling, but I really don't like them. I may eventually look into botox, but I've read of cosmetics or creams which fill in these lines temporarily. I want something like this, but when I search online, there are tons. Many of them cost from .00 to 0.00 and I don't have that kind of money to experiment. My friends tell me that they tried some and they warned, "Do not overly smile after using the product". LOL! I am wondering if anyone has experience selling these types of cosmetic/creams, or if anyone has happened upon a good product for filling laugh lines? Hopefully, it will be one that allows me to smile.-

QUESTION:
Red discoloration on smile lines?
I am 31 years old, wrinkle free, EXTREMELY oily, fair skin. I do not usually break out. In the last 2 months, I have noticed these red lines where my smile line would be. I don't have wrinkles yet, just this red discoloration. I really hate them, can't seem to cover them up with makeup. I already use a retinol cream, exfoliate once a week. What can I do to make these fade, what could they be from?-
ANSWER:
Many soaps, cleansers, moisturizers, exfoliating products, countless skin care, cosmetic and skin medicating products - and shampoos (they get on facial skin) are seriously skin harming.and skin sickening.- and cause the skin to be excessively oily and of course prematurely age skin. Even those products claiming to be organic and only natural ingredients have been found to contain hazardous skin sickening ingredients.
See this excellent site. Skin Deep Database: A Feelgood Resource. The database has tested many thousands of skin care and skin medicating brands and products and lists the ones found to be the most harming and those that are none harming or only minimally harming. . So select products those safe products. Himalayan products and shampoos are listed as being very safe products.
Retinol cream is also skin harming. Do a Google and learn more. You can quickly heal the skin by simply massaging with safe, noncomedogenic extra virgin olive oil, does not clog, enlarge pores, or cause breakouts and surprisingly lessens oiliness of skin. It is only skin benefiting and feeds and nurtures skin with many healing nutrients. They are perfect, safe moisturizers - you will need no other. QUESTION:
Is it bad if you use anti-wrinkle creams when you're young?
I'm 18-years-old and I was just wondering about this...I don't like the wrinkles I have on my face now so I try and use moisturizers and creams (usually around my eyes and the "smile" lines around my mouth) to try and lessen them. My friend told me that using anti-wrinkle creams when you're young makes them not have an effect on you when you get older. Is this true, or is it okay to use anti-wrinkle creams at a young age?-
ANSWER:
I don't think there is anything wrong with it but I really don't think it necessary.
Young skin (like yours) still has plenty of elasticity, which leads me to believe you don't have a problem with age-related wrinkles. If I were you I would drink more water and use a sunscreen on a regular basis. You may find that that has more effect in diminshing lines than a product would (at this age anyway).
PS: Keep using moisturizer - really important!

QUESTION:
Can a teenager use an anti-wrinkle cream to prevent wrinkles?
I am 14 years old and I think I have lines under my eyes. Everyone (well, I think most people do) have these lines under their eyes. I don't have crows feet, just a pretty deep line under my eyes, probably because I smile and laugh far too often. I was just wondering if it would work if I used an eye cream for wrinkles for like really old people whether it would help to clear it up a bit or help prevent it from getting worse. Would it be bad for my skin? Would it do anything? Is it worth it to buy an anti wrinkle eye cream or just keep moisturising? I heard vitamin E is good for skin elasticity, what are some good creams that mainly focus on vitamin E. I currently use nivea and cocoa butter.-
ANSWER:
There is no point in using creams. They don't work. Also I'm sure you look fine. If you freak over every little line in your face you are going to make yourself miserable. Everyone one has lines. It gives a face character.

QUESTION:
Can anyone recommend a good anti-wrinkle eye cream for young(ish!) skin?
Hey girls,Can any of you recommend a good cream for smoothing fine lines around and under the eye?
I can see a lot which specify for mature skin but was wondering if anyone had come across something specially for younger skin. I have read that anti-wrinkle creams are most benefical when used in your 20s. My wrinkles aren't terrible, but every photo I have seen of myself smiling or making any expression recently has shown the dreaded lines!
I'm 22 and looking for something under £20, oh and I'm UK based so no UK products and stores only please.
Thanks loads in advance for your help.
Nothing to do with sun, lol - i live in Northern Ireland and we rarely see the sun! Besides I've really fair skin so there's no point in me sunbathing as I don't tan anyway.-
ANSWER:
22 and wrinkles? Have you been in the sun a lot? Fair skin? You should start using an eye cream in your teens! Not preventative, but hydrating and moisturizing. The skin around the eyes has no oil glands, therefore, it shows the first signs of aging. Keeping it hydrated is necessary to ward off fine lines and wrinkles.I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask if you drink enough water? Do you consume Omega Fatty Acids? Also, what climate do you live in? Dehydrated skin can often cause little fine lines in your skin and around your eyes because your skin is so starved for moisture, that it almost shrivels in a way, mimicking lines.....which if you keep your skin starved for moisture will over time, turn into lines and wrinkles.
This is what I would do.....start drinking more water, try a supplement like Hyaluronic Acid (holds 500 times it's own weight in water) and if you don't consume Omega's. start taking Fish Oil or Flax Seed supplements. Are you losing elasticity around your eye as well? Try the 'pinch test.' Gently pinch an area under your eye and see how long it takes for your skin to return to normal. I would use a very hydrating eye cream (one with Hyaluronic Acid in it as well, if you can) You need moisture, girl! If you want an anti-wrinkle cream, look for ingredients like Vitamin A - Retinol (different from Retynal Palmitate) Vitamin C - (Ascorbic Acid - in a stable form) Alpha Hydroxy Acids in a very low concentration (made especially for the eye) Peptides, Co-enzyme Q-10, essential and hydrating oils, etc., etc. Remember, oil is not the skin's enemy, you just have to choose the right one.;)
Lastly, if you're going to these lengths to try and find the right preventative cream, you need to be using Sunblock or all your effort will be a waste. The best kinds are physical blocks (think Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide) at at least 5% and an SPF of 30. The physical blocks work by reflecting the sun's rays off your skin. The chemical blocks (worse for sensitive skin) contain blocks like Parsol 1789, Oxybenzone, Avobenzone, etc. They are sunblocks, but are not great for sensitive skin. You can get the physical blocks that don't leave your face white. Peter Thomas Roth makes a good Ultra-Light Sunblock as well as Skinceuticals. You can also try a relatively new product that Peter Thomas Roth and Colorescience makes which is a handy clear powder with a retractable brush you can stash in your purse! That way you can touch up your sunblock anytime without the worry of ruining your makeup.
Whoah...I droned on forever...hope that helps.
RE: Your follow-up - I get in the habit of saying 'sun' when really cloudy or not, the sun's rays are hitting you everyday! It's important to wear sunblock whether it's sunny or cloudy. Also, your having light skin and hair makes you the most susceptible (sunbathing or not) to sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, etc.
It sucks, I'm a red-headed Italian with semi-fair skin.....I know your pain.

QUESTION:
I'm 23 and I have wrinkles. Am I going to end up like Gordon Ramsay?
My 41 year old friend keeps picking on me about my skin (for the past 6 months). I haven't been concerned with my looks for a long time now though I caved in to her pressure and started using skincare products because she said my skin is prematurely ageing. My wrinkles are smile lines next to my eyes, not deep, but there, and I have the lines on my brow which are pretty obvious and don't go away when I relax my face. I think these lines are because I have a very expressive face and I use my forehead a lot in general conversation and I am a very humorous person and I smile/laugh a lot too. What am I meant to do to get rid of these wrinkles? I am so young! I am tempted to buy anti-wrinkle cream but can't use it at the moment as I am pregnant. I can't stop making facial expressions either, I tried lol
I don't smoke or drink but I do live in the australian desert, though have only lived here for 6 months!-
ANSWER:
my husband is 23 and has one big deep wrinkle in the middle of his forehead from wearing baseball caps. my sister is 28 and has the same thing from making facial expressions. it doesn't make you look older until you start getting those pursed lip lines, and deep crows' feet, and stuff like that. your "wrinkles" are just marks that show how you use your face.

i have been using neutrogena acne-free wash which has recently been drying my face....is this why lines have come?-
ANSWER:
Make sure you're drinking at least 1 liter of water a day, preferrably 2. Also make sure you aren't using anything on your face that will dry it out. Many cleansers, astringents, and things of this nature have alcohol or similar drying ingredient. Try to avoid makeup as this will only make your lines more noticeable. Try instead using a facial scrub with no alcohol. You can make your own, I have a great recipe that I use. You mix ground oatmeal, ground almonds, full fat yogurt, and a tiny bit of honey into a paste and use your hands to gently scrub in a circular motion for 2-3 minutes. Then rinse it off and pat dry with a soft towel. Try it once and you'll see that your face is as smooth and soft as a baby's butt. If you need a gentle astringent, try strong brewed green tea. These tips will save you and your parents money in the long run. Keep using the scrub, drink the water, and try to stop stressing so much. Get yourself a yoga video to do at home or take a class. You may see those lines disappearing within a month or two and will stay looking young alot longer than your peers. I should know, I'm 30 but look 10 years younger.Oh, and the easiest way to grind oatmeal and almonds is in a coffee grinder. Just make sure you wipe it out with a wet washcloth before and after.

ANSWER:
Ok this is what you need to do! Buy some Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Castor Oil. You can actually wash your face with oil. I know it sounds crazy but it's true. Even if you have acne. Oil dissolves oil. You should use a little less castor than the olive in your mix. Mix about 25% castor with 75% olive and rub it it all over your face working it into your skin. Then take a small towel and soak it in hot/ warm water lay it over your face and let the towel sit there until it is cool. You can do this once or twice more if you want. Then take the same towel and clean the oil off. Your skin will be soft and fresh. Then moisturize your skin with a little olive oil 4 nights a week and castor 2-3 times a week. Work the the oils into your problem areas. If you use the castor oil too often as a night time moisturizer it could dry out your skin. So make sure not to use it every night. I promise if you do this your will take years off your skin.

QUESTION:
Smile wrinkles???
I have really large eyes and a big smile to match, but whenever I smile my eyes look smaller because they have these lines on the sides of them and underneath. The underneath lines look like little folds, and the side lines look like crows feet. I am not old either (I am still a teenager), and I am not overweight (I am really muscular being a dancer actually) so I know it's not fat folds (that's what my darling sis calls it).
Is there anything I could do? Would anti-wrinkle eye creams work?
-
ANSWER:
Why can't we women just accept ourselves for what we are? I'm sure you look just fine. The wrinkles show character. Smile wrinkles show the world that you are a happy person! Be happy with that! Or I guess you could just learn to stop smiling...

QUESTION:
wrinkle prevention!!!?
I'm 15 years old and I noticed that I get these lines on my face around my eyes and mouth when I smile. I know that as I age, those lines are going to become wrinkles and show even when I'm not laughing. How do I prevent that? Is it too early to use a wrinkle cream? When is the usual age to start using wrinkle creams? Are you supposed to start using these creams before wrinkles actually form or when you first start getting wrinkles?-
ANSWER:
Creams are a must and facial exercises. Of course the obvious is not to get too much sun. If you smoke, consider quitting now! I have seen some, what would have been a much prettier woman if she had not smoked in her earlier years. I am 43 and have dated quite a few women to know what i know. The one predominant thing they are concerned about is their skin. Plenty of water, avoid too much sun and facial exercises. The women that i have given this advice to thank me prfusely even if it hard to take at first. To add to this, my dad was a dermatologist, so i knoww a few tricks.

QUESTION:
HELP SERIOUS SKIN ISSUES HERE!! I have deep noticeable wrinkles when I smile & I'm only in my 20s. What to do?
I've had this issue for a few years now and it's getting worse. Unfortunately I can't afford to go see a dermatologist, which is what I'd love to do, but I just can't at this point. I was given the whole Mary Kay skin care line a couple years ago as a Christmas gift and it didn't help with the wrinkles at all. Actually, the MK line caused even more issues for my skin - it caused me to break out big time and I hardly ever, very very rarely get zits. As soon as I started to break out I stopped using the Mary Kay line and the zits cleared up on their own without me having to use any zit cream or anything, thank goodness but I still have the embarrassing deep wrinkle issue. The deep wrinkles are only noticeable when I smile and I'm so self-conscious about them that I don't even smile anymore. So now family members and friends have started to ask me if I'm mad or sad all the time. Please help, this is a really embarrasing issue for me that started when I was just 20 years old. I'm now 29.
Nope, I don't have big puffy lips or big teeth at all - actually i have the total opposite - little mouth, average size lips and little teeth, which i inherited from my dad who also has a lil mouth, avg size lips and little teeth so it's not that!-

QUESTION:
How to get rid of under-eye wrinkles and forehead lines?
PLEASE help! I am only 14 and I already have wrinkles. I have them under my eyes, and lines on my forehead.
How can I get rid of them? Are there any creams, or anything I can do?
And when I smile, I get huge bags under my eyes and it makes me look so ugly! And when my friends smile, their under eyes are flat and normal. Please help me!!!!!
-
ANSWER:
I share your pain! To be honest, I think it's genetic.I have really noticeable eye bags, usually always. My mom has them too. (Thanks, mom.)
But I still decided to try some things. It's tough, but I tried going to sleep at 10 or 11 PM (which is a major change considering I usually fall asleep at 2)And sleeping a lot does help!
Also, I used to do this a lot even though it kinda hurt: rub 2 ice cubs (put them in a paper towel of course) around my eye bags. It sort of diminished it.I got a tan recently, and my eye bags are unnoticeable.
When I smile I also have some lines too under my eyes, not bags. I think you know what I mean. So I usually try to smile but look cool. What I mean is don't smile like
:D:D:D:D
but more like
= relaxed. Haha. Seriously, in photos, it makes a difference. I'm proof of it.Besides that, I also apply a bit vaseline under my eyes before I go to bed. And moisturize. Makes them less puffy.
As far as creams go, I use philosophy hope in a tube Eye & Lip defining cream.
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P12090
IT REALLY WORKS!!! It may be a bit pricey, but I am SO glad I got it! I use it for the eyes tho, not lips.
I just rub under my eyes when I wake up and when I go to bed, and in a couple of weeks I noticed a major difference. Way more firm, less noticeable lines.
Remember, no amount of cream or makeup will make it ALL go away. Most of that could be genetic. Drink plenty of water and take care of your skin. We have the same problem and the methods I've written here worked and continue to work for me. Also, practice in the mirror your smile. And I've noticed that wearing concealer properly under your eyes can mask the lines (if you want a quick fix)
Best of luck dear!!

QUESTION:
Do you know a good natural remedy or something to help reduce and prevent the lines under the eyes?
I'm only a teenager, they're not big but still, when I smile I see the fine wrinkles accentuated under my eyes and I don't like them at all.I'm too young for anti-aging cream(I heard you have to use it since 25 years old and older) so can you tell me something natural and effective that could help reduce those fine lines?Something from plants maybe?!Thank you.-
ANSWER:
Don't listen to anyone who says a frozen spoon. That just gives you a major headache for about a day.One of those masks you put in the fridge or freezer can work, just take breaks so you don't get a headache.
A way to make them less noticeable is to use either a white eyeliner or a white eyeshadow and line the inner corner of your eyes. It makes them seem more open.
