Wrinkle Cream For Forehead
Cosmetic Wrinkle Fillers and Anti Wrinkle Creams - Is There Any Comparison?
There are lots of anti wrinkle lotions that are claiming to produce “as great as Botox®” results. Whilst this can be a great advertising tactic could it actually be accurate?
You will find numerous ladies who would love to get Botox® treatments, but many either cannot afford them, are scared of the injections or just do not have access to them within their region. Due to this it makes sense that wrinkle cream businesses would draw a comparison in between their goods and wrinkle filler injections.
In this article I want to help explain a few of the differences between Botox® for wrinkles and anti aging lotions. After reading this article you should possess a good understanding of the difference between topical wrinkle goods and wrinkle fillers. You need to also be able to determine that is best for you personally.
Wrinkle Fillers
Wrinkle fillers, such as Botox®, are administered by way of an injection. The kind of filler you get determines exactly where the injection happens. Botox® specifically targets forehead lines and crows ft with its injections, while other wrinkle fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane plump lips and diminish wrinkles around the cheeks and other locations with the face.
A medical professional (like a beauty physician) handles the injections which range in price from 0 - 00 dollars based around the type of product used.
Possible Side Effects
Bruising and inflammation are typical side effects to most wrinkle filler injections, however they heal inside a couple of days. Some people do experience much more adverse side effects such as allergic reactions, nevertheless this does not happen frequently.
Do Wrinkle Creams Compare?
The key feature of wrinkle fillers is they're injected below the skin. Once injected they create the visual outcomes that sufferers want. These outcomes apear on the skins surface by reducing the appearance of wrinkles to and last for quite some time time (4 - 24 months). Once the results begin to fade another injection can be performed.
A wrinkle cream, which is applied topically on the surface, must be absorbed from the skin. Whilst there are some incredible ingredients utilized in anti aging lotions nowadays there's not but a product that can be utilized a couple of times and yield results that will last l for 3 or 4 months.
Scientific break throughs in skincare ingredient research over the past several years have yielded several new components capable of decreasing the visual look of wrinkles to a point that could rivel the usefulness of Botox® and other wrinkle fillers. However, none of these ingredients function as rapidly or produce as long-lasting outcomes.
The advantages of Wrinkle Lotions
Nonetheless anti wrinkle creams sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth every year. Why? First, they are effortlessly accessible. On the Web or your neighborhood department store you are able to easily discover anti aging lotions. Secondly, they do not have any harsh side effects such as bruising or inflammation. Third, they don't require a sizable upfront cost and finally if you're scared of needles wrinkle creams don't require any at all.
Exactly where Is Your Cash Best Spent?
Wrinkle fillers will produce quick visual outcomes, but you need to deal with a bigger up front bill and also some bruising and inflammation to get a couple of days after the injection.
Wrinkle lotions will produce outcomes, but they take 6+ weeks to complete so. If you are affected person and will stick to applying the cream daily you will also receive another constructive advantages from wrinkle lotions such as a more even skin tone and superbly moisturized skin.
At the end of the day, these products aren't as comparable as wrinkle cream entrepreneurs would have us believe. Actually a good number of ladies use both wrinkle fillers and wrinkle creams to supplement the outcomes.

I'm only 19 but I'm extremely facial expressionist and I've noticed my forehead wrinkles are starting to get prominent because I often frown and scowl without myself even knowing it.I've been using L'Oreal Revitalift for my forehead wrinkles and to prevent crow's feet but I haven't noticed much of a difference...
My skin sometimes looks weird but it actually made my dark circles A LOT less noticeable.
But I want to cure my forehead wrinkles.
What can I use? Any suggestions for forehead wrinkles and crow's feet?

ANSWER:
A good number of the wrinkle cream products on the market are nothing more than fancy moisturizers. If you want to see a noticeable difference in your forehead wrinkles, you will need to select something with an active ingredient that can actually help to firm the skin. Argireline is a good ingredient to look for. It is a peptide that helps to reduce tension in the skin and will help reduce wrinkles. It is also a good alternative to other harsh chemical ingredients because it is derived from plants and is considered safe to use on the face and around the eyes. If you want to learn more about wrinkle creams and how to select the right one, try the site listed in the resource box below.

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner. And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. ANSWER:
Do an Answers Search and you will find many creams and`serums have failed to do either. Some have however irritated and harmed skin and some have been pulled from market, notably in France, because of skin harming and cancer causing concerns.(confirm with a Google)
I found this was a safe, very effective treatment to greatly minimize them and largely prevent others forming. With front of fingers held together massage very vigorously backwards and forwards directly on the lines. For forehead: Use front of first three fingers held together and do a horizontal forward and back massage directly on the lines. Starting from one side of forehead, do a series of short forward and back massages blending one into the next all the way to the other side.
Massage 20 to 30 times and even more two or three times a day depending on how your skin adjusts to it. You can gradually build up to a great deal more. See clearly noticeable fading in 15 to 20 days, depending on how vigorous and how frequently you have done it.SOURCE(S):20+ years research natural treatments & cures of skin conditions, skin enhancement and anti aging and rejuvenation treatments

QUESTION:
Need anti-wrinkle cream advice! What do I buy?
I'm 26, workout, stay out of the sun, drink water, and get enough sleep. I'm still looking for some good skin care products. I've used Olay (hated it--made me breakout like crazy), Anne Borling (can't tell if it works, but sure is expensive), and origins. I'm looking for something that will keep my skin looking great, and that will help with the undereye and forehead wrinkles I can see developing.
Essentially, I want a night cream, an eye cream (anti-wrinkle and dark undereye circles removing would be awesome) and a serum. I'm not too price-sensitive, but I'm not willing to pay more than per product. Consumer reports gave their verdict, but I've never heard of any of the brands. My mom swears by Murad.Any suggestions? I realize it's a relative topic, one product may not work great for two people. But I need advise.

QUESTION:
Does using anti-wrinkle cream at a young age prevent or cause wrinkles?
I have heard people saying that using anti wrinkle cream when you're young (like teens or twenties) prevents wrinkles for the future. I have heard other people say that it can actually cause them or that it does no good at all (something about the skin already having enough collagen..?)
Which one is true? I am 14 and have faint forehead lines and lines at the corner of my mouth from my nose downward, and don't know whether using anti wrinkle creams will help and prevent.
Thanks! x-
ANSWER:
Using anti-wrinkle creams now have a protective function. It is just like caring for yourself now. If you look after yourself when you a you are young you will look younger than your chronological age.If you do not look after yourself when you are young then you will older than your stated age. The logic is quite simple, I hope.
Here are some easy to understand examples: Smokers always look older than their stated age. People who live in cold countries always look younger than their stated age. These are general rules of thumb.

QUESTION:
What's the best cream for wrinkles?
Hello, fellow females. This is a question especially for you. Guys can answer too, if you use anti-wrinkle cream, that is, LOL!I'm a 23-year-old lady and although my skin is in cool condition, I have a few wrinkles on my forehead. I'm presently using anti-wrinkle cream from the Nivea range but it doesn't really seem to be working. If I can't get rid of my forehead wrinkles then I would at least like to stop them from getting any worse and hopefully prevent new ones forming.
So, my question is simply this. Can anyone recommend any anti-wrinkle creams that really do work instead of purchasing creams that have you throwing your money down the drain? Is there really such a cream that can get rid of existing wrinkles as well as preventing new ones? I would be ever so grateful for your advice and recommendations.
I would be grateful to receive answers from UK only. I don't mind answers from abroad but I would like to know of products that I can buy within UK. Thanks.
Oh, I forgot to ask two more questions. Number one, what are the best lifestyle tips for preventing wrinkles and dealing with existing ones?Number two, my mother says that as long as I use a good moisturiser on my face twice a day, there is no need to worry about wrinkles. Will any facial moisturiser work against wrinkles as long as it feels comfortable on my skin or does it have to be cream made especially for wrinkles?
Thanks.

QUESTION:
Looking for the best cream to reduce forehead wrinkles the most!!!?
Im in my late 30s and I have a few forehead lines. I recently bought a product from Boots the chemist that is like a paste which you tap onto the lines and smooth away which sort of does work but for only a few hours, and it is only temporary.
So I was thinking of investing in a decent cream that will reduce them after a few weeks more of a long term thing but because Im male I find keeping upto using these products every night so the one recommended to me has to be very good with good results no matter the cost and I will make sure I keep upto it.
There is also a 7 minute lift which is like a botox in a jar but its expensive, and only last a few hrs and again it isnt a long term thing only a temp cover up.
Ps Ive heard about RoC retinal correxion cream that has Vitamin A.
Thoughts?-

There is also a method of stimulating the skin with a small current (microcurrent face lift), which may have some effect on that type of wrinkles. And a generally healthy diet might help some, if you don't have that already.

QUESTION:
any recomendation for wrinkle cream that really works? or a product? serum? recipe?
i have fine eye, forehead and mouth wrinkles, that i hate. im only 25!-
ANSWER:
Dr Adrianne Denese, a board certified dermatologist out of New York has a incredible skin care that covers all the bases and deals with repair issues at the same time. She wroye a book that is informative and entertaining called "Ageless Skin" and I recommend her products VERY VERY much...Just don't buy them online from her website, they are expensive because they really work. But you can get them on ebay for less than half retail cost...the product is called DR DENESE and the basics you needs to see results almost immediately are:face serum
daily (tinted with melatonin) moisture w/ spf
and eye fixyou can add products as you need them depending on your needs, and she has something for everything to do with your skin
BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I CAN TELL YOU IS TO AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT EVER WITHOUT FULL STRONG SPF TO PROTECT YOUR SKIN. If you are having trouble at 25, imagine yourself at 44 (my age) and you might listen to me, because at 24 I decided to never tan again, my Mom was 41 at the time and looked like someones Grandma I thought, because of that I have not had a real tan since, and I have barely a wrinkle on my pretty face. i was still getting carded as recent as 4 years ago...so ....I also don't drink , and that is a big part of it I think, but I smoke and sleep badly and alot of other things so the sun is the biggest enemy!! Cover your face always...
To rid the lines you see already, I would try to gently micro dermabrasion them off with a product with a hand tool and crystals, the finer the crystals the better the result. I use Medical grade. I also get on ebay diluted TCA peel (be careful and follow instructions to the letter) once a month to deeper exfoliate the tougher areas that get tougher as I get older...and frankly I look maybe 31/32 at the most?
It is possible, but you must commit to prevention, and then follow through with a proven regimen that you know works for you.

QUESTION:
What is the number 1 rated wrinkle cream?
I’m only 30 yrs. old and already am seeing fine lines and wrinkles on my forehead, under eyes and around my mouth. I know wrinkles come from the loss of collagen due aging. So my question is what affordable product is out in the market that can really help me. You can go to a store looking for the perfect cream and walk out of there with nothing at hand and so confused. There is too many products out in the market that promise you beautiful flawless skin and non seem to deliver, I’ve used my share of products with no positive results. Of course we all know there is no such thing as a magic cream that will erase my problems away (wish there was) but is there something out there that can help minimize the wrinkles and/ or help produce collagen. I’m sure someone has found it.
I am only currently using a daily regimen of moisturizer with SPF. I know it’s not enough so I want to start using a wrinkle cream again, before it only gets worse. Is there anyone out there that can truly recommend a product that actually delivers what they promise? Please Help-

Consumer Reports, the most reliable and totally trusted tester of products recently tested 16 skin firming, anti wrinkle, anti aging products many containing alpha hydroxy (and found to be skin hazardous) and no matter the price - the most expensive one being - all failed to even noticeably have any effect. A low cost over the counter basic moisturizing cream that was also included in the tests was found to be JUST AS EFFECTIVE as those products. It clearly proves that those products are SCAMS. QUESTION:
Anti-wrinkle cream at 19?
Of course to a lot of you this sounds silly. I got into face moisturizers when I was 18 because I have a few wrinkles on my forehead. I do tan too here and there, NOT RELIGIOUSLY (So don't preach to me about that being bad for my skin i know) So, I do like to take care of my skin and use lotions. I came across the Olay facial care products and feel in love with the age defying and hydration cream. I get many compliments on my skin and the wrinkles on my forehead even faded and are hardly noticeable now. Now my question is, "hypothetically", if I start using these creams now, will I keep a young face for many years and have little trouble with wrinkles? I know this sounds silly but I'm curious? Thanks.-

You have to stay out of the sun in order to have a good face when you are older. Use a good sunblock when you do go into the sun.

QUESTION:
Wrinkle cream or regular moisturizer?
'm only 20 but I am already getting laugh lines around my mouth. And I think my forehead might be next. They are more noticeable now during the winter since it is dry, but should I buy a lotion specifically for wrinkles or just a normal moisturizer? What are the harmful side effects of using wrinkle creams too early?-
ANSWER:
there are no side effects; or any effects for that matter. wrinkle creams do nothing more than hand lotion or less actually. in order to treat your skin,or any part of yourself, it must come from the inside. like watering a plant. you don't water the leaves, you water the roots.

QUESTION:
Is Moisturising face lotion a good substitute for Anti-wrinkle face cream (please read before answering)?
I'm 24-years-old & I enjoy taking care of my skin, in addition to the rest of my body. I like to use anti-wrinkle cream as I have 2 small lines on my forehead & if I can't get rid of them, I certainly don't want them to get any bigger. The problem is, I don't feel comfortable wearing anti-wrinkle cream during the day because although it smells nice, as the day goes by, my face begins to feel really warm & greasy. I especially can't stand the feeling of it getting hot under my eyes (I apply a tiny drop under my eyes too, but not on them). Using anti-wrinkle cream at night-time is fine because I don't notice it when I'm asleep, but I can't stand using it during the day.I've come to really enjoy using face lotion on my face during the day & anti-wrinkle cream at night-time & I would like to know if moisturising face lotion works just as well as anti-wrinkle cream? I certainly feel more comfortable & fresh during the day after using lotion.
Thanks.
-
ANSWER:
I definitely think moisturizing cream will do about the same thing. I think you will achieve what you want by using the moisturizer during the day and the anti-wrinkle at night. Just remember, no matter what you use, you can only fight off wrinkles for so long.

QUESTION:
wrinkle cream for a 20 year old ?
i have some wrinkles i think they could be called expression lines , on my forehead. they're really annoying me n i was wondering if there's smth for it , but not too expensive . thnx.-
ANSWER:
Omg
we're too young to have wrinkles! I just turned 18 and I've noticed I kind of have a super fine line in the right lighting on my forehead! It's probably because of all the years in the sun.I have some vitamin C cream I got from GNC, it's supposed to rebuild collagen and give a healthy glow. I've only used it twice but when I did I noticed my skin was a lot healthier looking. But don't use it if it's old or not stored properly because it can become oxidized.
You should get a lot of vitamin C in your diet.

QUESTION:
What would be a good, inexpensive anti-wrinkle cream?
So I am beginning to get lines around my mouth, eyes and on my forehead. I'd like to invest in good anti-wrinkle cream or lotion, but I don't want to pay more than about an ounce for the stuff.Right now I use Vaseline as my "night cream" and in the day I use Better Botanicals sandalwood lotion. I have some Dove eye cream I occasionally put around my eyes but I am not fond of it -- I think just putting the regular lotion around my eyes is as good. But, I think the lotion needs an extra kick of something. Any recommendations?
By the way, forgot to add, I prefer products without sunscreen because I am allergic to most kinds (makes my skin red and itchy.) I just stay indoors most of the time and wear a big hat when I go outside.-

Anti-Wrinkle cream for 15 year old?
I have premature wrinkles due to squeezing of my pores, on my nose (very bad), and starting on my forehead.I don't know if you guys know - but makeup artisit, and creator of "iQQU" skincare, youtube guru has said that she has using anti-wrinkle creams ever since she was young to prevent her skin from anti-aging.
I'd like to cure, AND prevent for the future, because I'm very scared, I already have wrinkles at this age, I don't wanna look like a grandma by like 27.
What do you think I should do? Should i? Which product is suitable for my age, not so harsh chemicals?
-
ANSWER:
To be honest your best bet is to stay away from products that say 'anti-ageing' and just get a good facial care routine going, cleansing, toning, moisturising (with spf in the morning) and exfoliating about twice a week. Try basic products like simple or body shop vitamin E range, or if you really want something thats to help wrinkles specifically the body shop have recently bought out their nutriganics range, which loads of my friends recommend, although they're all early to mid twenties, which has 95% organic ingredients meaning there's no chemicals in it in comparison to most brands.
My reasons for staying stear clear of anti-ageing products is that in the pharmacy i work in there are two elderly ladies, one in her late 60's who looks about 55 has rarely used any special creams, other than her day to day cleanser etc, and the other is in her late 50's and looks about 70 due to her wrinkles and she's used anti-ageing products all her life.
Hope that helps and you find something that works for you.

QUESTION:
Best cream for wrinkles?
I am 28 and beginning to see a couple of wrinkles. I was in the sun a lot yesterday and noticed a few wrinkles on my forehead that were not there today. I am assuming its from the sun? Anyways, what do you recommend is the best wrinkle cream?
Sorry, I ment there were a few wrinkles on my forehead today which there yesterday. They may have already been there to begin with but they seem more visible and deeper now.-
ANSWER:
you're not gonna get a new wrinkle in a day. I would start putting sunscreen on ASAP. Use a moisturizer or facial sunscreen with spf 30 to 60 everyday, and reapply. that's your best bet for SURE.Then, try starting an antiaging routine for night time, including a night moisturizer and eye cream. You're still young, so you dont need to go for an expensive brand...try olay or loreal, something from the drugstore.
Consistency is key. You aren't trying to reverse damage yet, just trying to prevent any more!!

QUESTION:
Home remedies for wrinkle reduction?
Hello All. Im looking for something I can do to help reduce the appearance of my first forehead wrinkle! Good Grief! Im 30 years old and didnt figure Id be dealing with this so soon. Anyhow, its right between my eyes (the wrinkle you get when you scrunch your eyes as if youre surprised or shocked to hear something) and fairly deep set. I not interested in extreme treatments like botox, I want to "grow old gracefully", without the help of a medical spa at least. BUT...if there is something I can be doing to slow it down, reduce it, prevent it from inviting friends...well that would be great. I would be open to an over the counter wrinkle cream, but only if someone has had successful results with the product. Otherwise, Im not sure I can beleive they work. Thanks for the ideas!-

QUESTION:
Does anyone have a good face cream recommendation?
I'm 33 years old. My skin gets a bit dry, especially in the winter, but if I use the heavy creams for dry skin it will give me pimples. Maybe I am putting too much on or something.I have a few light wrinkles on my forehead.
I want a great face cream to prevent aging and wrinkles. I am not sure where to start.
Is it a matter of just buying the most expensive bottle at the Estee lauder counter....or does someone have something better out there to recommend?
-
ANSWER:
You really have to experiment. What works well for someone may not work for someone else. And expensive doesn't mean better. I've tried pretty much everything (unfortunately, I'm not exaggerating...) and although I like some better than others, price isn't what makes the difference.
I would use a treatment prior to the moisturizer cream though. Let it soak in a little before you put the moisturizer on. Neutrogena has "intensive wrinkle serum" which is pretty good, Clinique has "repair treatment" for face and another for eye area, Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown have similar products which are more expensive but don't work as well for me. You can also buy a little bottle of hyaluronic acid serum and put a little of that on before moisturizer.
If you don't want the 2 step process though, Dr Hauschka has some really good moisturizers that don't seem to cause pimples - I really like Rose day cream. It's thick but just use a tiny bit.

QUESTION:
How can I have wrinkles at 14?!?
Maybe for three or two months now, I've noticed wrinkles on my forehead! I'm only 14, and I have three lines running acorss my forehead! So my first question is, how can this be? Is it really uncommon to have wrinkles now?! Do you think I should go see a docter to ask about this problem?
And then what is the best wrinkle cream type thing?-
ANSWER:
I've seen this a lot. It happens when people have a habit of raising their eyebrows, and eventually, they can have lines across their forehead. You can try to just make sure you stop, to relax your skin. I don't think there is a wrinkle cream to help it- you probably won't need it.
Hope this helps & good luck (:

QUESTION:
Any way to get rid of these lines on my forehead and under my eyes?
I have deep lines (don't really think they're wrinkles, more like laugh lines) on my forehead and under my eyes. Not sure how good you can see them from this pic (http://img528.imageshack.us/my.php?image=taraandryan129.jpg). (I'm only 22 so I'm not sure why I have them.) I don't like having them because they make me look even less appealing than I already do LOL!
I'm not usually out in the sun for more than a half hour at a time, I don't smoke and I moisturize everyday so I'm not sure what the problem is. My brother has smoked, is out in the sun just as much (if not more) than I am and he doesn't have any (and he's two years older) so I'm not sure where they come from. Although, my mom does have lines on her forehead and never goes out in the sun so it might be genetic. Any way I could get rid of these laugh lines or at least make them less noticable? Like I said, I don't think they are wrinkles so a wrinkle cream probably wouldn't work. Thanks!-

QUESTION:
Best skin cream for wrinkles and texture?
I am a 41 year old woman. I have always been told that I look young for my age, however, I do have fine lines around my eyes, forehead and mouth. I would like to try to get into a daily skin care routine to help stop or minimize wrinkles, tighten skin and reduce that puffiness and/or darkness under my eyes. Currently I just wash my face with soap and water and use a moisturizer on it in the morning. I don't have a problem with acne or anything. I have been searching the web for the best anti wrinkle creams and so much comes up that it is hard to decide. I don't want to have to spend a whole lot on this. I have been looking at Olay but not sure if that works, RoC, and others. I just need some help from people with actual experience in anti aging/wrinkle creams to help me narrow down my choices. I have combination skin and am not allergic to anything. Any advice on this would be helpful as there is so much to choose from and they all say the same thing.-
ANSWER:
I have been using Retin-A (Tretinoin) since it was introduced for the treatment of acne. Today I use Neutrogrna products with retinol (a milder form of Retin-A) in them and I hardly look my age - 62. You do have to "use as directed" to prevent superficial burning or redness of the skin. Pretty much, any product with retinol in them should work.I don't have a picture to show you only what others have told me.
All the Best.

QUESTION:
I have forehead creases...at age 14?!?
Ok so they basically look like this:http://gattuso.org/portfolio/images/forehead.jpgGood Grief, I have two of them on my forehead.
And I'm only 14. 14 for Petes sake!
All I remember was in grade 7 it was very very cold outside (no snow though) like -8 usually and my skin got really dry for the first time and I had my eyebrows raised all winter, and when winter went bye bye I had a friggin' line on my forehead. I ignored it and now I am noticing it. Seriously, this is horrible. I only ever eat healthy, and I mean that. Never drink soda, or eat junk.I drink alot of water, too.
How the heck can I get rid of these? And prevent them from coming? Am I supposed to go on wrinkle cream now? FML.

QUESTION:
Is there a cream that can replace Botox?
I have been looking for a cream that can work like botox or will remove the wrinkles around my mouth and forehead.
Is there such a cream out there on the market?-
ANSWER:
No.Botox is a protein that paralyzes muscles. It works like this:
Your muscles are controlled by nerves. These motor nerves have several branches, i.e. axon terminals, that form a junction with your muscle called the neuromuscular junction. Botox works there.
Inside the axon terminals are vescicles (bubbles, if you will) that contain a chemical called acetylcholine. Under normal circumstances when the nerve is stimulated, these vescicles (whose borders are made up of cell membrane) merge with the wall of the axon terminal and release their acetylcholine into the synaptic space (the tiny gap between the axon terminal and the surface of the muscle). Acetylcholine crosses this gap and binds to a receptor located on the surface of the muscle cells. This in turn causes a cascade of things to happen (which I won't get into here) that bring about muscle contraction.
Botox, when it gets inside the axon terminal, breaks apart a protein called SNAP-25 that is required for the vescicles to bind with the wall of the axon terminal. If the vescicles can't bind, acetylcholine isn't released into the synapse. If acetylcholineisn't released, the muscle can't contract. No muscle contraction, and the wrinkles go away over time. After all, what are wrinkles? They are creases in our skin made by muscle contractions. Of course, it's a little more complicated than that. Your muscles, even when your face is at rest (i.e. not making any facial expressions) are constricting ever so slightly. Botox, when properly used, shouldn't prevent you from making facial expressions. As I understand it, it should, instead, eliminate that baseline constriction while still allowing most of your ability to make facial expressions. So basically, Botox done right shouldn't completely paralyze the muscle.
Also keep in mind that Botox can be used to attenuate the function of ANY part of the body that uses acetylcholine. That includes sweating, which is stimulated by the parasympathetic (i.e. cholinergic) nervous system.
Botox's effects on the nerve or irreversible, yet, after a few months, it wears off. Why? Because your nerve releases that the axon terminals to the muscle are not working, and grows new axon terminals to the muscle. Impressive, huh!? Our bodies are truly amazing.
Keep in mind that Botox isn't the only way to paralyze muscles. It's just the only product (I know of) that is FDA approved for
So, I suppose it is possible to create Botox cream that could penetrate deep enough to get to the muscles, but there would be some major problems with such a product that would preclude it from being approved.
Botox, while safe, has to be injected into rather specific sites. Ointments don't stay in the same place very well. Just imagine rubbing a cream on your forehead to eliminate wrinkles, and you accidentally rub your face with your wrist and inadvertently spread this hypothetical Botox cream around. Next thing you know your eyelids aren't closing all the way.
Basically, you're going to be stuck going to the doctor to have Botox. Fortunately, more doctors are doing it, even if it's outside of their specialty (i.e. there are OBGYNs doing it, ER physicians doing it, etc. etc.) Many oral surgeons do it. As a general dentist, I plan on getting trained in it and petitioning my state dental board to consider it part of general dentistry. Over time, Botox will become somewhat less expensive for patients and more accessible without compromising safety.

QUESTION:
Damaged skin from oxidized vitamin C cream?
I'm only 21. About 7 months ago I purchased some Vitamin C cream to improve the elasticity of the skin on my forehead. Unfortunately the Vitamin C I had purchased had oxidized and I did not find out about this until I had been using it for about half a month, but by that stage the damage was already done.I now have like hundreds of fine lines/wrinkles all all over my forehead. It looks very unnatural and ugly, especially under natural sunlight. I've been trying just about every product I can get my hands on for the past 6 months to repair the damage, but nothing has worked for me. I have tried the following so far:
- Lipobase Advanced Night Repair
- Trilogy rosehip oil
- Face Protector with vitamins A, E and B5
- Clarins total Wrinkle Control creamJust wondering if there are any cosmetic products out there that actually work? Or do I need to look at getting cosmetic surgery?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
ANSWER:
Do not worry about it, first make sure that you drink enough amount of water every day, probably it is a matter of dehydration, not lack of Vitamin C, because if you do not drink enough water that will lead into a dry skin which shows all the wrinkles on your forehead, try to use any age-defying products, such as Nevia and Dove, but that will take time, do not panic.

QUESTION:
What are the best wrinkle and line filling creams?
There are sooo many out there, but really, which ones have worked for you? I'm 31 and never took care of my skin to prevent wrinkles or lines, now that I'm getting them, I hate it and want them to dissapear. I have the 11 on my forehead from not wearing my sunglasses. and some small wrinkles around my eyes... but I've started to notice them more recently because my makeup goes in there and show them more.
So, what do you recommend that is easy to find??? Thanks.-
ANSWER:
Silicone is what is gonna fill in those fine lines. You'll need a silicone-based primer to put on before your foundation. Smashbox, Benefit, MAC, Too Faced, etc all make one. They all do pretty much the same thing, so take your pick!
Also, using retinol in your skincare routine can help diminish wrinkles. Try DDF's Wrinkle Resist and Pore Minimizing moisturizer. It's pricey but it's very effective and it smells great
. Otherwise, look into Roc or Olay.hope this helps

QUESTION:
What is a good anti-wrinkle for young and sensitive skin?
My daughter has loads of wrinkles on her forehead, she is 12 and has super super sensitive skin, and she is moaning for me to get a cream that actually works, I'm willing to pay anything to get her to stop nagging.-
ANSWER:
I would strongly advise against buying anti wrinkle products for a 12 year old. Besides the financial repercutions of allowing a child to assume expensive creams are something she needs from a young age, they're not designed for young skin and could potentially be harmful, some mixtures are extremely potent, especially the more expensive ones. And if she is especially sensitive for her age then it is certainly not a good idea.I don't know if she's started shaving her legs or anything yet, but when I was 12/13 I tried some regular hair removal cream. I have very pale and sensitive skin and had a very bad reaction, so bad I remember standing in the bath whilst my mum slathered my legs with vinegar to neutralise the burn! Now my skin is older and tougher I can withstand those products perfectly fine. The same would apply to these creams, except in many cases the ingredients will be a lot harsher.
If she's got a lot of wrinkles on her forehead why don't you suggest she gets a fringe or haircut that would help to hide these? She'd look very on-trend as well.

QUESTION:
Effective cosmetic or cream to smooth wrinkles on laugh lines?
I'm 56, and I've been lucky with regard to forehead and eyes as I have only a few minor and barely visible wrinkles. By contrast, on each side of my mouth, I have deep laugh lines. I know I've earned them from plenty of smiling, but I really don't like them. I may eventually look into botox, but I've read of cosmetics or creams which fill in these lines temporarily. I want something like this, but when I search online, there are tons. Many of them cost from .00 to 0.00 and I don't have that kind of money to experiment. My friends tell me that they tried some and they warned, "Do not overly smile after using the product". LOL! I am wondering if anyone has experience selling these types of cosmetic/creams, or if anyone has happened upon a good product for filling laugh lines? Hopefully, it will be one that allows me to smile.-
