Making hotel reservations and rental cars: Before leaving your home make sure that you have made and confirmed your bookings at the hotel where you are going to stay. By confirming these two things, you can be rest assured that you will not have to go hunting for transportation and rooms after the tiresome journey.

Electronic items: in case you are carrying your laptop, make sure that you have backed up all your data. Also do not ever store passwords or access information on the machine. Do not check in your laptop or keep them in the overhead cabins. Make sure that you keep your laptop in clear view.
