Malissa, I struggle with this myself. So, I'm not very equipped to recommend specific brands. However, I'll share some general information I've picked up along the way. Recently, I had an expert tell me that eye cream is a place where you should splurge. I've bought a lot of eye creams. Right now, I've got an Oil of Olay version, which is fine. I recently got a sample of Bobbi Brown eye cream, and it was fantastic. This little test proved to me that the expert probably was right.
This month's issue of “Real Simple” is the beauty issue. In it, the editors cite Boots No. 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum, which can be found at Target for $23. It's a wrinkle reducer. I haven't tried it. However, I did try a hydrating serum from Boots, and I really liked it. Plus, the price is good.
One thing is to make sure you are exfoliating. That's one thing us women in our 30s have to make sure we do because our skin “forgets” how to naturally slough off the dead skin cells at this age.
Another important habit to get into at this age, drink lots of water. It's good for a lot of things, but skin is a biggie. Also, use moisturizer with spf everyday. It's a good gift to give yourself.
