Investigating Claims Made by Face Cream Makers

Author: Emilia Bracer

Of course if you’re interesting in treating your face, you’re interesting in finding the best face cream on the market. Let’s face it, there are a ton of reasons why we should be leery of what’s out there: First off, tests have shown that a number of products on the market, especially those dealing with the skin around the face, have been shown to be dangerous and potentially leading to some pretty serious health conditions. Secondly, there are a bevy of products out there that claim to work wonders, but when it comes time to show their results, fall flat on their faces.

There are products that overcharge, products that claim to contain organic materials bur really contain the same old gook that they expect you to slather on your faces, and even products that have been accused of having dangerous levels of parabens in them, which have been linked to the trigger of cancer in the body! If you’re looking for the best face cream, the old adage of ‘let the buyer beware’ comes to mind.

So how to figure out which face cream lives up the hype when so many hucksters out there are trying to make a buck out of a growing market? Even with all the complicated things at stake here, it comes down to one thing, and one thing only: Quality. What do I mean? If you’re going to go and put something on your face, which is full of porous skin that draws whatever it comes into contact with deep into the tissue of your body, well heck… it has better be good.

Quality can mean quality of health. Would the best face cream knowingly contain all sorts of compounds proven to be dangerous and harmful in extended contact? Of course not, yet there are some major companies out there that are comfortable denying the proven records on things like parabens, and would rather bluff their way past the possibility of threats rather than take the darn things out of their products!

Look for signatories of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics, which ensures that products are paraben-free, and also do not contain any synthetic chemical shown to cause harm to the body over a period of exposure. Any face cream that does not willingly ridicule information of this sort may in fact be hazardous, or an outright threat to health.

The need to get a face cream that works, but is not harmful to the body, can lead you along a difficult foray into the realm of products available to you. But the search is worth it, and should be done! Take care of yourself, and make sure you are getting a good deal.
