Decorating a kid's bedroom?
Author: Jamie Simpson
Decorating a kid's bedroom should consist of fun, multi-functional and comfortable furniture and designs. Boys and girls should each have their own themes to make the room truly their own. There are great ideas for small rooms, rooms that are shared and rooms that will grow with the child for years to come. The main idea behind any room for a child should be that their ideas and personality shine through in each piece of furniture and pictures on the wall.
Boy Themes
Boys enjoy themes that consist of sports figures, cars, robots, TV characters, motor bikes etc. The color themes that most boys like are cool colors, like blues, browns, greys and blacks. They enjoy bunk beds and desk that can go from a homework station to a video game fortress. They enjoy simple things like a comforter set without all of the frills just a favorite character or hero that they worship, a rug or two and blinds or shades over their windows.
Girl Themes
Girls enjoy the frills, the princess like atmosphere, pony's, unicorns, teddy bears and order and everything in its place. Most girls enjoy warm colors like pink, orange and yellow and sometimes fuchsia. Girls enjoy the frills of curtains and bedding skirts. They also enjoy the beauty of a dress up table with mirrors and makeup.
Furniture
The best type of furniture to use in a kids room are bunk beds, loft beds and futon beds. The beds should allow for a desk and a play area. Storage chest for toys, dolls etc are very useful. Bean bag chairs are great for any age and it allows the child to feel cradled no matter what the age. Foldable furniture like the futon is great for small rooms and rooms that are shared it allows for more room to be utilized.
Decorating
Shades, blinds and posters and wallpaper borders are excellent for changeable themes in any Childs room. Dividers and wall treatment is great for dividing rooms of shared siblings. They can each have their own them in the same room. All things reversible or interchangeable is great for a child to grow in as their ideas change.
Conclusion
Decorating a kid's bedroom should be fun and functional for children, the idea and theme should be able to change as the kids grow. Girls can have their soft ideas and the boys can have their sports and cars, and in some cases the themes can be turned around to accommodate all children as their ideas change.

I think I've seen it. but i dont know the name either!!!!
If you click on the User link on that MySpace link you posted, you can see that the short is probably still in production.
I think the monsters that live under your children's beds have moved into the next room and have started bothering you.
I suspect you're right. Should have killed them when I had the chance.
hi,i know just how your feeling.ive got 16 mnth old twins and its only during the last few months that theyve been sleeping through most of the night.they used to constantly wake up crying and i mean every few hrrs and we kept having to bring them in the bed .but as most people know this only makes things worse.myself and partner just wernt getting any sleep either obviously.
so i decided that we had to do something, and we started leaving them to cry .it is difficult because they can go on for ages.even though we have three older ones it has always been a problem knowing what to do for the best.when they in the state that theyre just screaming and screaming as if theyre going to pass out it is really difficult to carry on because you think something might happen.but the truth is all theyre doing is trying to get theyre own way.as soon as we used to pick them up they would of course suddenly stop crying.so in the end we did leave them to cry, every five mins or so in the beginning ide just go in pop the dummy in and walk out even if they were still screaming.eventually they will get the message and will be so tired that they just fall asleep.but it does take alot of effort to get there.it can go on for hrs in the begining.but after a few days mine were going down easily with a bottle at night awake then when theyd finished i used to put their dummies back in and theyd be happy to go to sleep.now theyre used to it and most of the time they sleep till about 7am.with some exceptions of course.but if your at that stage where no one is sleeping then you definatley need to start doing something beause it can make life hell and everyone is always worked up,dreading bedtime.sleep deprivation is definatley one of the worst things to go through.so if you can i would start letting them cry it will be difficult but if you stick to it then you will see the differences that it makes and everyone will be a lot happier.i hope this has helped and good luck.
