Miracle Wrinkle Iron
Amazing Japanese Skincare Miracle Treats a Variety of Skin Conditions
Author: Gordon Hall
Is there a secret Japanese skincare solution that can help prevent wrinkles, sagging and the other signs of aging? Well, it's not much of a secret anymore. Scientific evaluation has proven the activity and effectiveness of a long held Asian beauty secret.
Wakame kelp is a variety of seaweed that grows in the Sea of Japan and in other areas around the world. It is prized for its nutritional value, a favorite food that goes well with fish. The leaves are large and green. The plants grow very tall and create underwater forests that are lovely to behold.
When it comes to Japanese skincare, the leaves were ground into mulch and used as a mask. The mask relieved sunburn and was sometimes used to prevent burning. It was used in traditional Asian medicine to treat a variety of skin conditions and to strengthen the hair.
Nutritional evaluations showed that the kelp is a good source of thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B9 and C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and zinc. All of these perform different roles pertaining to the skin's health.
The most recent research has shown that this little Japanese skincare miracle contains a compound called sulfated polyfucose, which protects the skin from damage causes by UV rays from the son and environmental pollution. Pantothenic acid also provides natural protection from the sun.
One of the biggest threats to your skin's health is overexposure to sunlight. That's why so many products contain a sun screening compound and an SPF rating. The problem is that many of the compounds actually cause the damage that we want to prevent.
Oxybenzone, for example, is commonly found in creams and lotions, because of its sun screening abilities. Researchers warned against its use from the beginning, since it is a derivative of benzophenone, which was known to have carcinogenic affects.
But, cosmetic companies went ahead and used it anyway. Now, researchers have shown that oxybenzone causes free radical damage and is a photo-carcinogen. When exposed to light, it damages DNA strands, pre-disposing the cells to cancer.
Now that we can get some natural daily protection from UV light, without using possibly hazardous sun screening compounds, our skin is safer. For long-term exposure to the sunlight, you should still use a zinc oxide sun-block, wear protective coating and not rely too heavily on any sunscreen.
So, that's part of what the Japanese skincare secret can do, but there's an even more exciting part that relates to aging. As we age, the levels or an important amino acid (hyaluronic acid) become lower and lower in the skin. That's why you see many anti-aging products on the market that contain the amino-acid.
The problem is that an enzymatic reaction is the cause of the lower levels, so adding the amino acid doesn't help. The enzyme just keeps going. Wakame kelp inhibits the activity and production of these enzymes by 52% after only 5 days of use, allowing the amino acid levels to return to those of a much younger person. That's why I called it a Japanese skincare miracle. There is no single ingredient that is more effective.
