Oh ho ho…don't even get me started on the inadequacy of some UK appliances! If it doesn't boil water as its main function, you may as well just forget the whole thing. What is startling in a climate so notoriously rainy as Britain, why “tumble-dryers” (as they are commonly called here) appear so rarely is a mystery to me. I have heard several arguments, in no particular order: the units are too large to fit most homes, they are too energy intensive and thus expensive to operate, they require venting to the outside which is difficult-to-impossible in many homes, and that they're not needed because hanging clothes (often on the radiators, which causes them to shed their paint) to dry is the accepted method.
Dryers in England seem more determined to make the wrinkles permanent rather than to remove the moisture from the clothes. Maybe it's an agreement with the steam-iron industry, which thrives in the UK (remember: an iron boils water as its main function, so it works!).

I know a heck lot more about this stuff then by the numbers 85% of the public. SO Stop bad mouthing politicians who want to see Iraq through till the end because in the end they are the ones that have their eye on the long term and not the short term, and we all know or should that its the long term that matters in the end.
Iraq is being equipped and trained as quickly as safely and mechanically possible and lets see this through, no one likes wars not even hard core soldiers but its those who quit who lose and we need to not back down when we are so close to the end.
