ANSWER:
I've read a lot of good reviews about the classic nivea creme in a blue round can. it's the secret of young looking old ladies in UK (they even called it "fountain of youth"). It can be greasy on skin but i swear it works well on moisturizing the skin. Believe it or not, i also have oily skin but when i started using it, it was able to balance my skin oil production. I only put it everynight though. Here's the evidence:

QUESTION:
Best under eye wrinkle cream for 23 year old?
I have many wrinkles underneath my eye and crows feet forming and I'm only 23. I've tried many products including Burt's bee's naturally ageless serum, philosophy's "hope in a tube" and Neutrogena's ageless intensive's deep wrinkle eye cream and none of them have had the slightest effects on my wrinkles and the latter two have been completely irritating to my skin.Do you have any suggestions for creams or serums that are actually affective and won't irritate me. I'm thinking I'll try Neutrogena's Healthy skin eye cream or Olay's Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle cream.
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

ANSWER:
Jenny, I'm 25 and this is what I've been using for 3 yrs now: for the eye area: Extreme Eye Rescue, and for the rest of the face, Cura Serum. Both are from Isabella Pelle. In addition to these products I use a mild facial cleanser like Olay foaming. Stay away from acne cleansers/bar soaps since those tend to be brutal on the skin. Hope this helps.

QUESTION:
No wrinkles yet. Using Anti-Wrinkle creams?
I am 27 and don't show any signs of aging, like wrinkles, dark spots, etc. Recently, I've been extremely involved in trying to get my skin be the best it can be. I was wondering whether It's ok to use anti-wrinkle products, like Olay Definity, etc. to prevent wrinkles in the future. Or is it unnecessary?-
ANSWER:
For your age, it seems your skin is doing great so far. Just make sure to always wear sunscreen with at least an SPF of 15, to help prevent the development of any signs of aging, since the sun is our skin's enemy. However, I think you should start wearing anti-wrinkle creams. Start using the first signs of aging, such as Chanel's Beaute Initiale line. It's a line for the late 20's, and it helps with the prevention and delaying of any signs of aging. The line consists of a serum, eye-cream and moisturizing cream. Try it out, it'll do you really well in the long run. Just remember, even though you skin looks good, undearneath the epidermis, there are wrinkles that just want to pop out at randomly.

Also she wants some conceler and foundation, I haven't bought drug store makeup in so long, what is the best kind out there that is sheer, not clumpy or thick, same with concealer?

olay regenerist works great it helps to even out your skin tone it smooth put wrinkles .also loreal has great wrinkles cream very hydrating it plump up wrinkles it leaves like a very supple skin tone & they are very affordable if your grandma has normal to oily skin I would suggest to use the olay cream cuz it is more lightweight mostly great for oily skin, if your grandma has dry skin I would stick with loreal cuz their face creams are more richer excellent for dry skin .

QUESTION:
Best skin cream for wrinkles and texture?
I am a 41 year old woman. I have always been told that I look young for my age, however, I do have fine lines around my eyes, forehead and mouth. I would like to try to get into a daily skin care routine to help stop or minimize wrinkles, tighten skin and reduce that puffiness and/or darkness under my eyes. Currently I just wash my face with soap and water and use a moisturizer on it in the morning. I don't have a problem with acne or anything. I have been searching the web for the best anti wrinkle creams and so much comes up that it is hard to decide. I don't want to have to spend a whole lot on this. I have been looking at Olay but not sure if that works, RoC, and others. I just need some help from people with actual experience in anti aging/wrinkle creams to help me narrow down my choices. I have combination skin and am not allergic to anything. Any advice on this would be helpful as there is so much to choose from and they all say the same thing.-
ANSWER:
I have been using Retin-A (Tretinoin) since it was introduced for the treatment of acne. Today I use Neutrogrna products with retinol (a milder form of Retin-A) in them and I hardly look my age - 62. You do have to "use as directed" to prevent superficial burning or redness of the skin. Pretty much, any product with retinol in them should work.I don't have a picture to show you only what others have told me.
All the Best.

QUESTION:
Best Anti-Aging Cream For My Mom?
Hey everybody, so my mom is really into looking good and she tries a lot of creams to prevent wrinkles. Shes in her late 40's and for Christmas i would really like to get her a really good anti-aging cream, i was thinking Olay but i'm not sure what to get. I want something that's really going to give great results, any suggestions?THANKYOU
-
ANSWER:
Olay is supposed to be really good. They have lots of scientific evidence backing up their claims. Go to their website and it will help you choose. I can't recommend a certain type of Olay without knowing if your mom has dry, normal or oily skin or if she is more concerned about wrinkles, sagging skin, large pores, or diminished glow.

QUESTION:
Are you over 30 and use anti-wrinkle products, what do you use and do they work & cellulite products?
I'm 34 and just starting to notice some wrinkling mainly under my eyes. I hear Aveeno has a new line with the Shitake Mushhroom that is supposed to be good. I love Lancome and Clinique but don't want to spend tons of money. Should I be using special cleansers for my combination skin as well? Do you put these anti-wrinkle creams under your make-up? What about Oil of Olay? The important thing is that they won't clog pores. Can you use just one product or do you need to get a bunch for different areas of your skin? I need help! I'm afraid to get a consultation from a department store counter 'cause they want to make commission and like I said, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg because I don't have the money and if it's not necessary, why bother! Probably the best things are not to smoke, eat healthy, and avoid the sun, right? Plus, wrinkles are highly genetic right? What about cellulite products, do they work? There is so much out there, I'm confused! HELP!-
ANSWER:
I'm 32 I noticed I was spending too much money on Lancome and Aveda.I started using Aveeno and products from the Body Shop(they don't' get commission there). They work great, I have had no problem using their products. As far as Oil of Olay goes I like their eye creams. Oil of Olay is a bit too oily for my skin I have oily/normal combination skin.
I don't have cellulite but best thing is to do some exercise 3x a week and build muscle tone. I use the Nivea products for cellulite it really maks your skin smoother behind your legs. I hear their patches for cellulite helps.
Wrinkles are genetic but you can slow them down, like you said don't smoke, eat good and exericise. You can go out in the sun just make sure your use products with an spf of 15.
*edit* walking up hill helps the back of the legs

QUESTION:
Best anti aging cream?
I'm looking for a good anti aging night cream. I don't really have that many fine lines but I want to use something early to prevent more lines and wrinkles. I have oily skin that is prone to acne so if there is something that can help with that too that would be great. I have been looking and the two treatments that have caught my eye are Olay Regenerist and Avon Anew Reversalist. I was just wondering which one is better for me (and overall).-
ANSWER:
Kare Bear, I recommend what I use; Preve extreme anti aging by Isabella Pelle. It's made specifically for fine lines/wrinkles. It has the highest concentration of "peptides" active ingredients to fight them. Also has the highest concentration of the best known moisturizer, hyaluronic acid. This has kept my skin baby smooth.
Last month they came out with a more concentrated version of Preve called Cura. It's everything Preve except they concentrated it to extreme. I got it 2 weeks ago; it's excellent. What you need to do is decide which one is best for you. I recommend both.
In regards to Olay, I use to use it years ago, in part because I grew up with my grandmother taking care of me. She always had a bottle of it on her night table, so naturally as I got older I bought my own. Olay is good, but I just feel that Preve works for me much better, and it has for the past 3 yrs. Never used Avon Anew so cannot recommend it.

QUESTION:
What is the difference between Alpha Hydroxy and Beta Hydroxy, particularly in a face lotion ?
I use a day lotion (Neutrogena or Olay) and a night cream (Olay or Pond's anti-wrinkle). But am never sure which one is best.-
ANSWER:
The main difference between alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acid is their lipid (oil) solubility. Alpha hydroxy acids are water soluble only, while beta hydroxy acid is lipid (oil) soluble. This means that beta hydroxy acid is able to penetrate into the pore which contains sebum and exfoliate the dead skin cells that are built up inside the pore. Because of this difference in properties, beta hydroxy acid is better used on oily skin with blackheads and whiteheads. Alpha hydroxy acids are better used on thickened, sun-damaged skin where breakouts are not a problem.

QUESTION:
Whats the best foundation?
I use boots no7 but i wear tinted day cream in the day usually oil of olay..but i wanted something a bit more expensive what do you think..what do you use?(Maybe something with anti wrinkle control etc in as i m 40 now and i use a lot of facial products that really have helped my skin look good..ive actually got no wrinkles at all!)-
ANSWER:
MAC's Studio Fix Fluid foundation has worked great for me.I use Loreal's Pore Minimizing Serum underneath it, and it makes my skin look almost poreless(I used to have huge pores from acne and blackheads, and I used the serum day and night for a few weeks and now my skin looks great. I still use it under the foundation like a primer).
The foundation is kind of pricey, though...it's around .00 a bottle.

QUESTION:
Best moisturizer for skin?
Best moisturizer for skin?
I wanted to know what would be a good moisturiser for the face.I would like to apply it at nightime.I am in my 20s and have fairly dry skin would like to take care early on so that my skin stays healthy ,however I would not like to use the anti-aging or anti-wrinkle products this early.I sometimes have zits come up on my cheeks but not very severe.Would a cream like Ponds,Niveia,Oil of Olay be fine for the face.Would they do any good?
Or should i try something lighter?
I appreciate your feedback!-
ANSWER:
For day I like Olay Complete Defense SPF 30 (the sensitive skin formula). For night I dab Cetaphil Dry Skin Cream on my face (and body). Both are cheap and at the drugstore. I also like Olay SPF 15 lotion when I want something light on my face. I think almost any lotion would work but I like the Olay products in general.I might keep it off your cheeks if you have acne. If your skin isn't dry in a certain area it doesn't need nighttime moisturizer--daytime only for the sunscreen factor.
The best moisturizer for my dry skin overall has been fish oil capsules. Swallowed--not on skin. A good quality fish oil supplement helps dry skin and got rid of my eczema. Make sure it's fish and not cod liver oil.

QUESTION:
Is my skin care routine good or is it too much?
Morning:
Cleanse: L'oreal perfect clean refreshing foaming gel wash with a muslin cloth or The Body Shop seaweed purifying facial cleanser. I use the body shop on if I am pressed for time in the morning or if I am looking rather oily along my t zone.Toner: Sanctuary pore refining toner.
Serum: The Body Shop Aloe Protective Serum
Moisturiser and Eye cream: From the Aloe range at the body shop.
Suncream: a L'oreal that has SPF 50 in it as my pale skin needs protecting.
At night
Eye makeup remover: If I am wearing waterproof mascara I use my homemade eye makeup remover that is half olive oil & half water. If I am not I use the body shop Camomile water poof makeup remover - I know it is for waterproof makeup but I find I have to rub my waterproof makeup off with this and I don't like rubbing my eyes.Cleanser: No 7 hot cloth cleanser with a muslin cloth. At night I also double cleanse, first cleanse I leave on my skin for a couple minutes before I buff it off and then I cleanse a second time to remove what grime is left
Toner: The Body Shop Seaweed clarifying toner
Serum: Skinsystem anti wrinkle serum - generic from ASDA.
Eye cream: A nieva one
Night cream: Olay nourishing & regenerating night cream.
I also exfoliate 2-3 times a week with either the neutrogena pink grapefruit scrub or Soap & Glory scrub your nose it in. I use pore strips twice a week and tea tree face mask twice a week. I am only 23 years old and I try to make the best care of my skin as possible. I have combination skin, slightly oily t zone and slightly dry cheeks were I get my eczema when I get my rare breakouts of eczema but my skin appears normal most the time even though it is not.
-
ANSWER:
It actually sounds like a lot but to be honest if you were one of those people who adore a fresh flawless face, this is what the routine would look like.I would only suggest that you have a day where you don't use any cleanser/face scrub so the natural oil can heal any area that is dried.
I don't really get a lot of pimples (Mostly from bad food like McDonalds,
) but then I don't even use sunblock because all I have are greasy ones that won't sting my skin like mad.

ANSWER:
I would go for a vitamin enriched moisturizer. Since you've stated you have dry skin, use a night time moisturizer at night or use a regular moisturizer for dry skin, and break open a vitamin E capsule and mix it with your moisturizer. All of the moisturizers you've mentioned are pretty decent, but you'll have to just try a few to figure out which one you like the best and what feels best on your skin.
Also, don't forget about a good cleanser to use 2x a day. Origins, and Dr.Perricone makes good cleansers for the skin.
All of this would also depend on your budget too..Kudos to you for taking care of yourself at an early age. Keep it up, trust me, you'll be in your 30's and 40's and glad you did this early!

ANSWER:
This is a good skin care routine. Especially since your probably over puberty, you shouldn't be breaking out very much, so your skincare routine shouldn't consist of much. As you get older, start investing in more expensive products (don't forget less, is more) as well as a few anti-wrinkle treatments.
