Best Treatment For Upper Lip Wrinkles

Our body have some essential natural substances like hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin that keep the structure and volume of our skin. However as we age those substances decrease and thus our skin becomes thinner and less elastic which produces wrinkles. Our lips have an outer layer that is very thin which becomes thinner as we age.

Environmental factors such as sunlight, stress, smoking and pollution contribute to how our lips age. The biological causes of losing lip volume and forming lip wrinkles are:

Decrease in levels of collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin.

Gravity

Sun damage to the skin

Smoking

Environment toxins

However ther are ways to prevent premature aging and have a healthier skin for a longer time.

Taking Multivitamins that contain anti oxidants, drinking a lot of water to keep the skin hydrated, protecting your skin from the sun, eating healthy foods and exercising are a few of the things you can do to prevent premature wrinkles and have a healthier skin.

However aging is a natural process that at some point is going to show up in our mouth, lips, forehead and hands. There are treatments such as injectable dermal fillers that are used to treat the border of the lower or upper lip to improve lip contour and definition.

The lip volume can be improved to create more full lips. There are also collagen injection fillers that can help your, but you should consult your dermatologist to make a correct decision.

On the other hand there are anti wrinkle creams that can help you a lot in preventing wrinkles and erase the ones you already have in a natural way. By increasing collagen and elastin production within your skin, you will we able to look younger and reduce wrinkles. CynergyTk can increase collagen in a natural way without harsh chemicals or risky substances.

				ANSWER:
I actually just answered a similar question on Yahoo, so don't be surprised if you see my answer twice. Here's what I said... hope it helps!

In my opinion, the best way to go, if your skin isn't too sensitive, is depilatory cream. I've tried Nair's Face Cream, and it works really well. Nair also has a cream for sensitive skin types on the same web page:

http://www.naircare.com/bodyzones_bface....

Sally Hansen's Wax Strips for the Face work well too, but I personally don't like the after-feeling that waxing leaves even though the wax strip process itself is basically painless:

http://www.sallyhansen.com/bd/hr_wax_str...

If you're really pressed for time, then using the Finishing Touch Hair Remover gets the job done. However, the hair will grow back significantly faster than after waxing or using cream:

http://www.amazon.com/finishing-touch-li...

I use Finishing Touch because I go to college and don't have enough privacy to sit around with depilatory cream on my face without people seeing me, but I'd still recommend Nair overall.

			QUESTION:
The best way to remove upper lip hair?
What do you think is the best way: hair removal cream, threading, waxing or a alternative?

I either use hair removal cream or thread my upper lip but I have very sensitive hair, therefore, my skin will stay red for a while. Although, I have found that threading is better than the cream for me. But the hair grows really fast with that. So what should I do?

				ANSWER:
Wax! make sure you do it in the night so you don't have a red upper lip in the morning.
Hair remover cream is ok but its very easy to have a terrible reaction to it!.. It happened to me once and lets just say it ain't pretty.
Some people bleach but just because you bleach it white doesn't mean you cant see it!

Go with wax it might be painful for a second but it keeps the hairs away for up to 3 weeks, make sure you dont catch a bit of your top tip in it though! ouch..

			QUESTION:
Which is best: bleaching or creams for upper lip hair?
I just have a few thin dark hairs that are a bit noticeable if someone is near me. Nothing too super noticeable but it's enough to bug me for sure. And by creams I mean the creams like Sally Hansen or Nair that remove the hair. I have sensitive skin as well so please help. Thank you!

				ANSWER:

			QUESTION:
waxing or using a dipilatory cream on your upper lip - get a reaction on sensitive skin?
I want to remove the hair from my upper lip and have worked out my best option is to wax or use a dipilatory cream (I've heard Nair is good) but I've hard that you shouldn't do any perspiring activities or shower 24 hours after, but since I'm an actress doing 2 shows a day this isn't really possible! Anyone had a bad/no reaction because of showering/perspiring?

				ANSWER:
Unless you can find a dipilatory product that is specifically designed for use on your face (and most are not), do not use one. Especially, if you have sensitive skin. Ive used Nair before and showered or gone swimming within the 24 hour time period without any problems but I did not use it on my face.

I would suggest using a bleach or waxing it off. Many salons offer body waxing including facial waxing for pretty cheap. While it may be painful at first, I would think that it would be a more desireable alternative to breaking out with a rash on your upper lip due to improper usage of a dipilatory cream.

			QUESTION:
What is the best home remedy to lighten skin on upper lip?
I have 2 dark spots on the skin above my upper lip that I can't seem to get rid of. Makeup doesn't cover it and I have been to the dermatologist and he gave the lightening cream but it isn't working. I have been using it for about 4 months now. I have done some researching and have read where people are using things like orange juice, lemon juice, potatoes, and etc. as lightening agents. If anyone has used any home remedies that have worked please tell me what they are and the directions on how to use them.

				ANSWER:
QUESTION:
What is the best thing to do about upper lip hair?
1. Leave it be
2. Shave
3.Wax
4.Bleach
5. Cream

What are the pros and cons of each?
Thanks!

				ANSWER:
Best thing to do is get laser hair removal. It lasts forever after you get all cycles of hair removed (your hair grows in cycles). But if you don't have enough money for that at the moment, wax it!

If you shave it, it will grow back more coarse and you will regret it becuase you will also shave all the little hairs that you don't notice right now.

Bleach will leave the hair there and if you are getting intimate you may not want the hair there.

Creams don't really work and leave it be is never an option!

Good luck. Oh yeah, waxing hurts a bit but give it a few times and you won't even notice it!

I've tried them all but I don't want to damage my skin. Which is the best and safest to do?

When will they invent something easier to remove hair permanently? Like a special cream or something...i can't take this anymore!

			QUESTION:
Should I wax, thread or use cream for my upper lip hair?
Whixh one lasts longer and has better results? Does hair grow back faster and thicker? Which one is less painful and has the best results?? Thank youu sooooo muuuuch!

				ANSWER:
Cream and thread make the hair to cut from upper level of the skin only. but the wax makes it to pull hair and even give jerk to the roots of the hair so upper lip by wax gives more reliability and the ease of not worrying for at least 2 weeks for ne hair.Pain is always there to do any thing worth results. So have some pain and enjoy by staying beautiful.
QUESTION:
What is the best way to get rid of upper lip hair?
I have very fair, thin upper lip hair, but I'm a little self-conscious about it and would like it gone. What are some products (creams, wax strips) that have worked for you? And does waxing or using creams make your hair grow back thicker/darker?

				ANSWER:
I've went to beauty school and grew up in salons (my mother is a stylist), and the best way is waxing. Hair never really grows back "thicker" it only feels that way because you feel the stubs growing and they feel a lettle corse at first. Waxing is not that painful and gets painless after the first couple of times. This is because your hair will not be as long (you will want it waxed as soon as you see it re-growing). There may be some redness but it will go away. Creams tent to cause redness that lasts all day or more than one day (on some people). A friend I had used a cream and the puffy redness stayed all week!

			QUESTION:
whats the best solution to remove upper lip hair?
I've tried all the hair removal creams but the hair just grows back so fast and my skin is really sensitive so if I use it everyweek then it burns and leaves red marks that stay for dayyys. Should I try bleaching it? If so what product?

				ANSWER:
The problem with bleaching is that you will still have hair. Although it will be lighter, in certain light (for example, outside in the sunlight), the hair will be quite noticeable. Bleaching is better for areas such as arms where it is "normal" to have hair.

You could try plucking hairs daily or even shaving if you have to. There really is no truth to the rumor of the hair growing back thicker after you shave - so don't worry about that. Nobody has to know you shave your upper lip - so don't worry having to admit you do it - nobody has to know! It is certainly quick and it works!

Good luck!

Waxing, threading, or hair removal cream for upper lip?! (girl mustache..)?
I have dark hair so its easy to see my mustache..I don't know which is the best way to get rid of it because they're are many sides to either doing waxing, getting it threaded, or use special cream. What happens when you remove the hair too much? will the hair just grow back even worse?! and I need more info on threading too if you can. I'm 13 by the way and I feel self-consicious so idk what to do..(and Im entering high school this year so I want to look my best lol!)

				ANSWER:
Threading works and hurts less. You basically use a cotton string for threading. Don't worry if you remove too much, it'll grow back. Your hair will grow back just the same, since you are removing from the root.

			QUESTION:
My skin above my upper lip is turning dark?
Hello every one. Two days ago I noticed my skin above my upper lip is little dark. Can you tell me how to get rid of it. Previously I used to tread and sometimes wax my upper lip, but for the past 3 months i used a upper lip hair removal cream. But again 3 weeks ago i waxed my upper lip. Recently i had a pimple there and it healed leaving a spot behind.and my upper lip skin turned dark. Can you suggest a home remedy to get rid of that darkness and also suggest me the best way t remove upper lip skin. Thanks in advance

				ANSWER:
Hi,

Please please don't use cream to clear upper lips, they turn skin black after using couple of times. Best way to remove upper lips is threading or waxing. Don't use any type of hair removal creams on hands and legs too, it will turn black.
If your upper lip is entirely black then apply rice flour with rose water and see if it works or if its because of pimple then apply honey with lemon juice.

Best way to remove peachfuzz on upper lip for girls?
I have a bit of peach fuzz on my upper lip that's not really noticeable unless I hold a mirror really close in the sun, but it really bothers me.
What would be the best way to remove it?
I'm not gonna shave because I know people who did that and it did grow out looking bleh, I don't want to wax because I really don't want to wait for it to grow out a certain length before waxing it again and because I don't want it to give me premature wrinkles from it.
So other options are threading, plucking, bleaching, hair removal creams? What would be the best way?
I'm not sure how I feel about bleaching though because I'll still know it's just there and that really just bothers me..o.o
would threading/plucking/hair removal creams make it grow out looking more noticeable?
ANSWER:
The easiest way to lighten this area is to apply concealer over both your lips, which will cover any scarring and make your upper and lower lips appear that they are the same shade. Then, choose a lipliner in a color of your choice and apply it. Finish off with lip gloss for a natural, volumous look.

			QUESTION:
Best/most convenient way to remove hair on upper lip?
I have dark hair and unfortunately the hair shows on my upper lip. I don't live near any salons and do not own a car so I don't think getting it professionally done is an option.

I am wondering with waxing/hair removal cream - do you have to use it once the hair has grown out to a noticible length?

If I have never waxed anything in my life myself, is it safe to try waxing? I am afraid of doing what my friend had done, where the wax strip took off a layer of skin and then she had a scab mustache for awhile.

What are the best products to use? How can I be sure not to have an allergic reaction to creams/bleaching products?

Thank you!
For the people who suggested duct tape.. seriously, why don't YOU try putting duct tape on your face. It can't be any worse for your skin than creams and bleaching products.

				ANSWER:
My sister has the same problem. Waxing is good, and it's totally safe, just read the directions in the box. But my sister doesn't deal with pain very well, and I think that would be a painful place to get waxed (not to scare you..) so she uses Veet. It's this cream that's kind of like shaving cream, you leave it on for 5 minutes or so, and it dissolves your hair. It's really easy to use and you don't have to do it very often (it depends on how fast your hair grows though).
If you have sensitive skin, I highly recommend that you try the cream on the inside of your wrist, or somewhere sensitive, like that, before doing your upper lip. That way you'll know if you're allergic to it or not, before you get a gross rash on your lip.
If you are allergic, there's another brand of the same stuff called Nair. I think it's pretty much the same as Veet, but maybe you'll only be allergic to one.
Waxing also works, though. Just make sure you read the directions, it always helps. And you could always talk to someone that works in that section of the store for advice on what to do.
Good Luck
You're Welcome! ♥

			QUESTION:
i just used a delipitory cream on my upper lip and now it burns A LOT!!!?
i think i left it on too long, so now it burns a lot. should i put oil on it? my sister says neospporin, so i will try that, but still, whats the best thing? and it needs to heal within like 12 hours...i have school and a dental appt. tomorrow! cold feels good on it, but is that really ok for it? thanks!!!!
i put some neosporin on it and it feels a lot better now. so i guess the question now is- how do i get it healed before school tomorrow?

				ANSWER:
Keep Neosporin on the area and make sure to keep your hands washed and to touch the area as little as possible. When you clean your skin tonight, use a gentle cleanser, such as Cetaphil or any other gentle cleanser, and make sure you keep the area moist. If there are any areas of broken skin, apply Neosporin followed by your heavist moisturizer or a thin layer of vaseline.

Think of it this way: when the skin is injured and broken, it forms a scab, often times when scabs finally fall away there are areas of lighter or darker pigmentation. If we block the scab from ever forming, allowing healing from the inside out, we reduce the chances of any discoloration to the skin.

Chances are you haven't broken the skin, it's just irritated. Just put on Neosporin, some aloe if you have it and you should be fine tomorrow.

Hope you found this helpful,

			QUESTION:
At the age of 24 I have many fine lines and wrinkle on my skin.?
I have lots of fine lines on my face and have vertical lip lines around my lips. I also find that I have fine lines on and around the bridge of my nose. I have many lines on my forehead and also am finding that my face and eyes are starting to sag and I have loose skin on my neck and eye bags. I have suffered with acne for many years and because of all this my confidence is at an all time low. Does anyone know of any good treatments for wrinkles at an early age or has anyone tried botox or fillers at a young age. Please help me!

				ANSWER:
Are you well hydrated from the inside out? Drink water throughout the day. I have done this for years and swear by it. Now are you a sun goddess? Do you go to tanning booths? Do you lie out in the sun a lot? That alone will age you quicker. Always wear a high SPF sunscreen. Start out with things you can do at home. Do go for the botox just yet, I have seen bad results from that as well.

Make sure you cleanse your face morning and night with a moisturizing cleanser. One cream that I really like and is very reasonable is Nutrius. You can get it from HSN.com. I use it and love it and you can read the feedback there as well. I have also heard that Oil of Olay regenerist line is good too. Hope this helps. Good luck!

My skin is oily all over. I breakout mostly underneath my chin, jawline and temples.

Right now I'm using L'Oreal's Go 360 Clean Cleanser, St. Ives Apricot Scrub and Clearesil Spot Treatment. My face is starting to get itchy around my lips. What should I do?

I read a lot of magazines and their tips for women in their 20's is to start anti-aging products now so skin will look better in the future. But afraid of pores clogging up with acne treatments, night creams, eye creams, neck creams and all the other things that are supposed prevent wrinkles in the future. What should my nighttime regimen be so that my skin will look its best?

Make-up. I like the natural look- little foundation, blush, lipstick, mascara and eyeliner. Once again I get these things from magazines. Primer, Foundation, Concealer. Where does sunscreen go in that order? What is the best foundation formula for oily/acne skin? Concealer?

			QUESTION:
Will a facial remove my blackheads?
Hi,
This might end up pretty rambly, so I'm sorry about that. Anyways I've had blackheads since the 5th grade (was starting puberty then) - I didn't really do anything about it - I've never been much of a skin care/make up type person. At the time I only got blackheads on my nose, now I'm in the 8th grade and trying to try to fix my skin as much as I can because as I kid I never did. I don't really have problems with pimples, unless I'm about to get my period, but I have an awful lot of blackheads on my forehead, nose, chin, around my lip and now cheeks! Do you think a facial will help get rid of most of them?
Also I've already tried the Biore strips, bunch of creams - they don't really help since I can tell that they're deeper than the actual surface of my skin - if that makes any sense. It's like I can see them, but they're deep. Although I have tried this thing from Ulta that you use after a mask and you put it wherever you have a blackhead and like it pops it?

I called the spa that does facials and the front lady girl said she wasn't like the person who does the facials, sorry I forgot the word, well actually I can't spell it correctly, but she would recommend something called the "Pure Radiance Facial" I checked on the website and it this is what is says:
Pure Radiance Facial
Our signature customized deep cleansing facial using 100% natural plant based products from Naturopathica will indulge all of your senses. This highly results oriented facial uses soothing touch and aromatherapy. It is designed to slow down and reverse the effects of environmental damage to the skin. This unique facial replenishes your psyche and leaves your skin refreshed and glowing. A relaxing Wild Lime Blossom scalp massage is included.
80 min
Upgrade your Pure Radiance Facial with one of the following:
Enzyme Peel
Enhance your facial with a potent purifying treatment to clear the skin of cellular build-up that causes blackheads. The peel is fortified with a mélange of beta carotenes to slow down environmental damage and leave skin glowing.

Skin Renewal Power Peel
Remove unwanted, dull, devitalized skin with our 15% glycolic peel derived from sugarcane. An excellent treatment for the diminishment of fine lines and wrinkles.

Do you all think that will work? Also, a quick question it said something about 'upgrade' in the facial thing, if I get the entire facial thing would it basically be both ? Sorry I'm a bit stupid and am awful at explaining things.

This has to be like the longest thing ever so props to you if you made it through.
Thanks!
I've used St. Ives - it does absolutely nothing.

Allergic reaction to facial product - how can I help it heal?
Something has caused a bad reaction with my skin, I think I know the cause - wrinkle treatment - so won't be using that again, but in the mean time it looks and feels terrible...

Around my eyes, between my eyebrows, and around my top lip I have really bumpy red spots that are a little sore, the skin is also cracking and becoming flaky around the area too - it looks like I've been waxing or bleaching my eyebrows and moustache (I haven't FYI) so it's a little embarrassing.

What can I do to help the skin heal??

				ANSWER:
I think, you better to consult a cosmetologist for further treatment for red spot. You didnt mention the treatment you went through for the wrinkle reduction. Anything you do ask for doctor, if you are unsure.
Thanks!
I don't have oily skin, it's actually a bit on the dry side.

				ANSWER:
Heyy! (lol),

If you have the luxury to go to the spa and get chemical peels frequently in order to keep your blackheads from coming back, go for it. But I say you forget the spa. Their whole all natural, our is the best, whatever nonsense can contain a lot of plant irritants and hefty amount of fragrance that irritant your skin, irritate your oil glands, and make blackheads and breakout worse.

Here is the thing, you are are very oily and blackheads never seem to go away, then I am sorry to say but you are out of luck with skin care products. Why? You are either still in puberty OR you are experience hormonal imbalance from other causes (menstrual cycles, pregnancies, etc). Your oil glands are hyperactive and there is little topical treatments can do about that. Sorry to burst your bubble. Save your money!

If you do have a skin care routine and you are not sure if it is "correct", then you need to modify. You need to devise a skin care routine that is geared towards your skin type and skin concerns. I am going to assume you have normal to oily skin type.

Rule of thumb: avoid harsh soaps; avoid very hot or cold showers, avoid heavy skin care or cosmetic products; get adequate sleep; change pillow case frequently

You need a well-formulated cleanser that is going to remove any excess oil build-up over time. Try Olay Foaming Face Wash, Sensitive. No Fragrance or colorant.

You need a good salicylic acid exfoliant. Try Neutrogena Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment with 2% salicylic acid. This product does contain fragrance and coloring additives, but they are both at the bottom of the list. Salicylic acid is a wonderful ingredient for oily/acne-prone skin type because it is a triple threat; that is, it functions as an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and an oil-soluble exfoliant. All three of these benefits help kill acne bacteria, soothe the skin, and exfoliating the pore lining to dislodge any clog to permit a better flow of oil. If you are allergic to aspirin, then you should avoid salicylic acid-based products. If you have sensitivity to salicylic acid, you probably want to stick with a physical scrub such as Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Scrub with polyethylene round beads as its gentle scrubbing agents. It is important to note that the efficacy of exfoliation of scrubs is not on par with chemical exfoliation. But before you go for the scrub, try ease up the application of chemical exfoliant if you have low tolerance for it at first. For example, try to apply it every other night, or every third night, or once a week and gradually increase application frequency. Or, you can apply the chemical exfoliant for 5 minutes and rinse it off; do this for a week and increase leave-on application as you achieve higher tolerance for the acid. You canNOT scrub blackheads away.

If you haven't tried these absorbent products, then now is your chance. They may not work if you truly have hyperactive oil glands. Look up OCEight; it contain a type of silicone acrylate copolymer that absorb sebum. Or, Smashbox Anti-shine; it contain a mineral magnesium that is similiar to something you find in Milk of Magnesia that has strong absorbent power. Again, the matte-ness lasts depends on how much oil you product. If you get oily very quickly, these products may be of little help.

If you are very bothered by your black heads and perhaps your oily skin, you may want to pay your local board-certified dermatologist for prescription options such as accutane (isotretinoin). Isotretinoin work by shrinking your oil glands --> no more oils --> no more acne or blackheads, period. You probably won't able to get it because your doc won't just prescribe isotretinoin just for cosmetic reasons. It is an off-lable use.

			QUESTION:
what are the best anti aging creams?
i am 56 ,no real wrinkles, a line here and there, but face looks tired and starting to sag a little..My skin is sensitive, i have an occasional rosacea flareup. for the most part my "beauty" routine consists of rinsing face morning/night with cool water and sunblock. no makeup, nothing else. at night I use a moisturizer, no specific brand. I am a very busy, tired nurse who frequently works 60 hrs a week. Divorced for 5 years, and haven't had as much as a door held open for me by a man, I would really like to try to improve my appearance. I realized I don't even look into a mirror and want to look nice, for me. maybe have a life again! so, I want to know what I should be doing, I do eat a healthy diet and take vitamins, but what about skin care? also, make up? I am fair skinned, auburn hair (colored, as my hair is very dark). hazel eyes. I don't think I even own any make up or even lip stick!! HELP..bring me up to date , please!! I'm not cheap..but don't want to spend a horrendous amount on products. Thank you to all in advance for your help!!

			QUESTION:
Please read this beginning of my story and help me... please(:?
I'm fourteen, and ive been writing since i could even write, and I know people say this ALOT. But I really want to be an author, i'm passionate about it and its my dream. Please tell me if this is a good start/beginning to my story.
And let me tell you more about it that you will understand after you read it:
-My main character is going to meet a guy who has psychic powers and can get in touch with her grandma
-her and the guy will fall in love
-he had a vision about them "being meant to be together"
-he's not allowed to tell anyone about his abilities...
-he's been having dreams about the girl he's supposed to end up with, which is her.
-when he moves to her new school and sees her the first time, he knows.
okay so please read the beginning, and then the stuff i just told you and tell me if it's good! Is this a good way to start it?

I knew I was dreaming when I saw my Grandmother. For the last year, I've had almost the same dream, at least once every two weeks. Sometimes twice. It started off where i'm in a large building and it's very dark. I walk up the flight of stairs and open the only door I see up there. When it's opened I see my grandma talking to a young boy about something. My grandma looks up at me and smiles.
Then, it happens. The buliding begins to shake and the door flies open and hits the young boy on his bottom and lip and blood gushes out. I begin to scream and my grandma jumps from her chair and pushes me out carefully.
And I fall down, because the stairs had collapsed. That's when I almost jump out of my bed, and catch myself before I really fall. Tonight, was one of the nights where I had the dream.
I sat up on my bed and looked at the clock next to me on my drewer. It was only five forty. I didn't have to officially wake up until six thirty, but I figuired I wouldn't fall back asleep anyways, so I got up.
I looked at the picture of my grandma that was next to my clock. She was my best friend. In the picture she was wearing the light blue sweater I got her for her birthday. Her long light brown hair was in a bun and she was smiling very happily. The picture was taken outside her house on the porch. She was one of the ladies, that would never let her hair go white or gray, so she dyed it everytime a gray came up. She was also one of the grandma's that actually used a certain type of cream, for no wrinkles. Which, used very well, becuase the only thing she had were two laughing lines.
My grandma Marie was the only person I could ever really talk to, the only person who made me feel blessed, and she made me realize, that no matter what i'm going through, someone else out there is going through something way worse and eventually in time, things change and get better. She was and still will be forever, the strongest person i've ever met in my life.
She died a year and a half ago, in a car accident.
My aunt Lisa and my dad were here only children and I was her only granddaughter.
I smiled at the picture one last time before walking out of my room to begin getting ready for the second semester of my junior year.

				ANSWER:
Hi! I'm a fourteen-year-old writer, too. I've got some tips for you.
Not bad. I'd suggest a little more showing instead of telling. Instead of saying, "For the last year, I've had the same dream, at least once every two weeks," you should say something that shows its repetitiveness without just telling the readers straight out. Some sentences are a little awkward, like, "I begin to scream and my grandma jumps from her chair and pushes me out carefully." I think you should divide that into a few sentences, and "pushes me out carefully" feels a little weird. Pushing and carefulness don't seem to belong together.
Also: keep in one tense. You switch between them a few times. Perhaps you meant to, because of the dream, but I still recommend staying in either past or present. Also, grammar. Sometimes you don't capitalize I, or make a comma mistake.
But all in all? Nice progress. Just keep going.
Hope I helped, honey!

			QUESTION:
Acne, aging and tanning questions!?
Alright, so my first question is about acne. I am a 17 year old girl and unfortunately I suffer from acne. It's not horrible, but it is enough to make me really self-concious about my skin. I'll get a few, (maybe 1-3) whiteheads every month and they are very difficult to get rid of an cover up. They might last for just over a week sometimes. Usually I don't get acne on my cheeks but a lot of times it is around and over my mouth or on my chin and between my eyebrows. My skin tends to dry out really easily using acne products even though I moisturize every morning and night. I even get chapped lips really easily and I drink a TON of water. (any great things to use for chapped lips, vaseline tends to work best but then I sometimes break out around my mouth) I used to use salicylic acid products and now I am using glycolic acid. Sometimes I will just just little bumps, but a lot of times they are really under the skin and stubborn. The acne is really hurting my self-esteem! What kind of products should I use?

My next question is about anti-aging products and what age to start. My sister is 19 and she is worried that she is already getting wrinkles, mainly on her forehead and uses this regenerist cream. What age is normal to start using anti-aging products. She is very young but when I do look closely I can see lines.

Next question is about tanning. Does anyone know of any good products to use during the winter months? I get very pale and I don't want to use tanning beds or any of that stuff.

I know I asked a lot of questions! But I'd appreciate input on any of the subjects! Thanks guys!

			QUESTION:
Honest feedback on this short story please? Am i any good?
HIGH DIVING MOLLY

To jump or not to jump; that was her dilemma. Molly Kassel had never liked heights, and she had never planned to start any time soon. As a thirteen year old it wasn’t that big a deal. But she wanted to be a diver, so hating high up places was out of the question.

She had discovered her dream during gym class. At first she thought it was stupid and a waist of time. But after the coach explained the art of it - and had one of the high school’s best divers show her and her classmates how it was done - she was hooked. And not only on diving.

His name was Taylor Collins. As the coach explained how he would be doing a simple straight nose dive, Molly noticed how in shape he was for a fifteen year old. He took his place on one of the smaller diving boards, his focus unbreakable it seemed. One bend of the knees, then two, then three. His body curved to make a loose ‘U’ shape as he pushed himself off the board. His arms stretched out to make a perfect point as he dove towards the water. There was barely any splash.

All the kids clapped, looking eager to have their turn. Molly felt nervous and it showed. She couldn’t help but pick at the ends of her long, wavy brown hair. “He’s cute, right?” Her friend Amy smiled widely, elbowing her in the side playfully. Molly wrinkled her small, freckle spotted nose, trying to act as if she hadn’t noticed. “I guess.” Molly shrugged, still picking at her hair.

“Alright, kids! Line up by the diving board and we’ll see what level you’re at!” The coach shouted, his chubby face shiny from the humidity. Molly stood with the rest of her class, not looking forward to her turn. She was horrible in gym and having herclassmates watch was bad enough, but now Taylor Collins was going to see it. Her stomach did a flip, putting her nerves on edge. “Try doing what Mr. Collins did to the best of your abilities.” The coach instructed, motioning for Berry -one of her more annoying classmates -to step up to the board. He grinned, giving his friends a thumbs up, and then belly flopped. Most everyone laughed as he came back up, his chest and stomach red, a scowl on his face.

Molly gulped, her heart racing now. What if she did that? What if everyone laughed at her? She hated it. Junior high was hard enough when you didn’t look like a dough-head, let alone when you did. Her turn was coming up fast. Most of the students so far did ok and only a few were bad, but they hadn’t belly flopped. Molly smiled nervously as Amy’s turn came up, she turned to give Molly a little wink befor getting onto the board. Why couldn’t she be good at everything like Amy? It just wasn’t fair. And of course she did great; better than most.

Molly froze when the coach called for thenext person in line. Kids complained and told her to get a move on, but she couldn’t. Sure, this board wasn’t that high up, but she just knew she’d look silly if she tried. “Hey,” She jumped, realizing it was Taylor Collins speaking to her. “Its not as hard as it looks, trust me. Besides, there’s no right or wrong way to dive, just go with your gut.” He smiled, Molly blushed. She thought she might scream but bit her lip quickly. If Taylor said it was easy, what did she have to worry about? Showing everyone I cant even do something easy, that’s what!, she thought in a slight panic.

Its not as if she had a choice, though. So, taking a very deep breath, she stepped out onto the board. She felt awkward walking to the end, the board bouncing with every step she took. She couldn’t let herself stop, though, or else she might freeze up again. She bent her knees like Taylor had, pushed herself from the board, closed her eyes and bent her body as much as she could, keeping her arms as straight as a pencil. Cold water rush past her, some getting up her nose. It felt great! Like passing a hard test and eating chocolate ice cream all at once! She kicked her way to the surface, forgetting about gym class completely.

There was clapping when she came up, loud and echoing all around her. She wiped water from her eyes, her brain not yet processing that they were clapping for her. She swam to the edge of the pool, smiling. Taylor was there to help her out, his brown eyes looking pleased. “See? You did great! You might want to join the team.” He commented, his smile making her stomach do flips again, but in a good way. “Cant.” Molly sighed, looking at the high dive. “Well why not, you’re good at it?” Taylor asked, frowning his brow. Molly rocked back on her heels nervously, looking at the floor. “I’m…” She paused, hating to say it. It was so embarrassing! “I’m afraid of heights.” She mumbled, fidgeting. “That’s no big, you’ll just have to work past it. Try jumping off the high dive, its not so bad.” Taylor shrugged, not seeming too put off by it.

Now here she was, standing at the bottom of the high dive. School was out for the day, but she wanted
ANSWER:
It's very good so far. You should definitely continue writing it.

But she wanted to be a diver, so hating high up places was out of the question. <- Okay, at first I thought you meant scuba diver, then sky diver, and last I thought of the high school swim team diver you were talking about. Maybe make this clearer earlier?

At first she thought it was stupid and a waist of time. <- Waste, not waist.

She was horrible in gym and having herclassmates watch was bad enough. . . <- Should be her classmates.

Most everyone laughed as he came back up, his chest and stomach red, a scowl on his face. <- 'Almost everyone' laughed would sound better.

. . . she turned to give Molly a little wink befor getting onto the board. <- You left off the 'e' at the end of before.

Molly froze when the coach called for thenext person in line. <- You forgot to put a pace between 'the' and 'next'.

“Cant.” <- Should be can't.

"Well why not, you’re good at it?” <- Would sound and look better like this: 'Well why not? Your good at it!'

“That’s no big, . . ." <- Should be that's no biggie.

Taylor shrugged, not seeming too put off by it. <- You are missing the word be, it should be between 'too' and 'put'.

CynergyTk can increase collagen in a natural way without harsh chemicals or risky substances.

			truth about waxing?
PLEASE READ THANK YOU:
I want to wax my upper lip, but am to afraid it will grow out thicker, and then i'll have to be dependent on it.

it's not so bad, not like a manstache, but it is somewhat noticeable and it make me feel insecure in public (just posting this up here, i feel embarrased so please no rude comments)

I have been reading mixed reviews about waxing. lots of people have said it doesn't grow out thicker while others wrote:

"Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles"

so does waxing cause thicker regrowth of hair?

				ANSWER:
It will actually come in thinner, because you are damaging the hair follicle and it actually makes the hair thinner when it grows in. It will actually after signiciant use you will not have any hair left. If done properly it will not damage the skin or discolor it.. the only discoration you will get is possibily a slick reddness blochiness afterwards.. and if done wrong you can get burnt... Also if done properly it WILL NOT cause wrinkles.. You should depending on your hair growth need to get it waxed at first every 2-4 weeks because your hair grows in 3 different growth phases. But more you do it the longer you go in between waxing.

Upper Lip Wrinkles - 3 Tips to Avoid Them and a Permanent Solution!

The process of getting older is a natural one but the skins ageing process can be dramatically reduced with the proper prevention methods! One area that commonly is affected is the upper lip.

Upper lip wrinkles are commonly caused by the normal ageing process which I will discuss amongst the 3 tips but before I start, I'd like to offer you aresource that I used for FREEthat helped eliminate and halt my upper lip wrinkles <-- here! This skin rejuvenation guide really helped keep my skin looking firm and youthful.

Ok, so back to the topic of upper lip wrinkles! Starting with tip one, this one particular bad habitmay lead to these wrinkles being caused earlier in life.. I wonder what that might bea?

Tip 1 - Quit Smoking!

Yes, I know it's hard if you've made a habit of it - but what better time to stop than when you are prone to getting wrinkles AND you are also more at risk of health issues that may arise from smoking!

Just try and take some time to understand how important staying young and preventing wrinkles are to you. If after you've taken this time to think and you've found that smoking is more important to you, then be my guest. Ultimately, as long as we as humans are happy, that is what matters.

But just understand you are more prone to wrinkles by smoking. This is for 2 reasons. The first is the fact that by smoking you are essentially polluting your body and releasing "free radicals" which are the enemies inside your body that attack your skin cells.

The second reason is because of the constant action of your lips when you pull on a cigarette. This constant pursing of your lips will encourage fine lines and upper lip wrinkles to form very quickly!

Tip 2 - Get a hold of some antioxidant supplements

As mentioned above, upper lip wrinkles (and in fact all wrinkles) can be attributed to free radical damage inside your body! Now, introducing the good guys - Antioxidants!

These help to protect our skin cells from free radical damage and are ultimately the most important things to help protect our skin from damage.

We can get antioxidants in our diet through fruits and vegetables mainly, however, we rarely get enough in this highly processed world - A supplement is recommended.

Tip 3 - Avoid extreme weather

Upper lip wrinkles can also be lured out by not protecting yourself in extreme weather conditions!

The sun is a major external factor causing damage to our skin, especially our lips and cause upper lip wrinkles to appear. Always protect yourself from the sun by using a cream or chapstick with SPF protection.

On the opposite side of the coin, we have extreme cold! In cold weather, if your lips are not properly protected they risk drying out - which takes moisture from the lips. Which in turn will leave the skin depleted of nutrients and therefore causing wrinkles.

Bottom line - Make sure your lips are protected in extreme weather to avoid upper lip wrinkles!

Well, I sincerely hope you enjoyed these 3 simple tips. Of course there is a lot more that goes on in keeping your skin looking youthful and healthy - Most of it is INTERNAL believe it or not.

Don't forget to check out the 68 page Skin Rejuvenation Guide that you can pick up for FREE! I spent a lot of money on wrinkle creams before I came across this fantastic guide. Enjoy it!

			QUESTION:
Whats the best method of removing facial hair?
I have a lot of facial hair. I am not talking about upper lips rather cheeks. My bf always makes fun of me saying i have more sideburns than he does. I want to get rid of it. I thought plucking definitely isnt a good idea, since I do that to my upper lips and it only ends up growing thicker. Hair removal cream is a no no for me, because they make the hair even thicker and those chemicals affect the skin really bad sometimes leaving them dark. Waxing is an option but then I heard you get wrinkles earlier that way, and I am only 21. Laser is too expensive and I heard you need to do it several times to get the results. Also there is chance of skin cancer.

Anyone knows of a better way to get rid of facial hair? If not, what would be my best option between waxing and laser treatment? Should i risk wrinkles or skin cancer (if thats true at all)? lol

Prevent And Remove Upper Lip Wrinkles

Do you fear that your upper lip wrinkles will get worse? Do you wonder how they got there and how to erase them effectively? Read this article and you will find the answers about upper lip wrinkles.

Upper lip wrinkles mostly appear due to environmental factors. The pollution that you experience outside, exposure to the sun, smoking, and stress are accounted as few of so many reasons. Biological elements can also be the culprit like gravity, environmental toxins, sunlight, and abnormal reduction of your skin's hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen.

Listed below are three effective methods to avoid or erase upper lip wrinkles:

A healthy lifestyle is recommended. Saturated fats should be avoided therefore refrain from eating fatty and oily foods. Choose to eat healthy foods such as green leafy vegetables and fruits. You might feel awkward at your first attempt to change your diet but you will certainly get used to it later on. You have to do what is worth for your good health. Quit smoking and stop staying up to all hours of the night. This beauty advise is a common one and it does make a lot of sense.
Use only natural products for your hygiene. Bathroom products like soap, shampoo, and conditioner are mostly made of harmful chemicals. Get rid of them and pick those that are made from natural ingredients.

Prefer to use high quality skin care. Try to patiently search for the best and the most effective skin care product. Check carefully the product labels and see if the ingredients are natural.

Of course you can get rid of those annoying upper lip wrinkles. Just do what is recommended and you will enjoy the best results.

It is only worth a little of your perseverance, time, and effort to solve your facial problem. Do it and all these benefits will be yours in no time.

			QUESTION:
linguistic features in this article?
could anyone give me some linguistic feature that are in this article? thank you:)
Has Simon the smoothie got the wax factor?

He is famous for keeping a stiff upper lip when confronted with weeping wannabees on his talent shows. But it looks like Simon Cowell no longer has much choice in the matter. The 51 year old, who once described botox as ‘no more unusual than toothpaste’, appears to have gone a little too far in his efforts to keep wrinkles at bay. And during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s US chat show on Tuesday night, viewers were surprised by his restricted facial movements- and his rather wax like complexion.
However, Cowell’s added composure may have come in useful when Morgan quizzed him on the tricky topic of why he axed Cheryl Cole from the from the US version of the X factor. The star calmly said he made the decision because miss Cole looked ‘bewildered’ during her early appearance on the show.
Botox is a toxic protein or nerve poison which is injected into the face and forehead to relax frown lines and smooth wrinkles. It works by temporarily paralysing the facial muscles.
Cowell has admitted having the treatment in the past saying: ‘yes, I’ve had botox, but not in an obsessive way. Then again every guy I know who works in the city has had it now. It works, you do it once a year- who cares.’
X factor judge Louis Walsh once claimed that Cowell had persuaded him to have cosmetic surgery because of the introduction of high-definition television, adding ‘I don’t know what bits of him are real anymore. I don’t think he does either’. In June, viewers of Britain’s Got Talent were shocked when Cowell appeared to have a drooping left eye during the semi-final.
At the time, a show source said: ‘Simon had overdone things a little with the Botox and it soon showed up on the camera- especially as we film in high definition, which is particularly unforgiving.’
Image-conscious Cowell was also reported to have become hooked on anti-ageing smoothie containing lingonberry, acerola berry and chokeberry, that he discovered while touring the us for the X factor this summer.

			QUESTION:
Best facial cream for upper lip?

Go with wax it might be painful for a second but it keeps the hairs away for up to 3 weeks, make sure you dont catch a bit of your top tip in it though! ouch..

I have 2 dark spots on the skin above my upper lip that I can't seem to get rid of. Makeup doesn't cover it and I have been to the dermatologist and he gave the lightening cream but it isn't working.

I have dark hair so its easy to see my mustache..I don't know which is the best way to get rid of it because they're are many sides to either doing waxing, getting it threaded, or use special cream. What happens when you remove the hair too much? will the hair just grow back even worse?! and I need more info on threading too if you can.

				ANSWER:
Threading works and hurts less. You basically use a cotton string for threading. Don't worry if you remove too much, it'll grow back. Your hair will grow back just the same, since you are removing from the root.

				ANSWER:
The easiest way to lighten this area is to apply concealer over both your lips, which will cover any scarring and make your upper and lower lips appear that they are the same shade. Then, choose a lipliner in a color of your choice and apply it. Finish off with lip gloss for a natural, volumous look.

What is the best bleaching cream out there?
For the upper lip.

				ANSWER:
You could try Jolene (cream bleach). This doesn't remove the hair, but it bleaches it so that it's far less noticeable. Before you use it, be sure to test a small patch on your arm or leg first.

			QUESTION:
i just used a delipitory cream on my upper lip and now it burns A LOT!!!?
i think i left it on too long, so now it burns a lot. should i put oil on it? my sister says neospporin, so i will try that, but still, whats the best thing? and it needs to heal within like 12 hours...i have school and a dental appt. tomorrow! cold feels good on it, but is that really ok for it? thanks!!!!
i put some neosporin on it and it feels a lot better now. so i guess the question now is- how do i get it healed before school tomorrow?

			QUESTION:
And for any of these, would I need to wait for it to grow out a certain length?

I'm not doing laser or whatever yet since I'm 14, I probably will in the future.

			QUESTION:
Ladies - plucking/waxing/bleaching or cream to get ride of upper lip moustache?
which works best for you? what would you recommend?
@Kat - no I'm not, I'm British.

				ANSWER:
Waxing is the extreme version of plucking, so last about just as long
Bleaching doesn't really get rid of it
Cream's(Recommend Nair) is easier then the others and last the longest.

If you are overweight, try changing your diet to include more healthier meals. Being over weight and eating bad can cause hair to grow thicker on lip, chin, and sideburn area.

			QUESTION:
Best product for lip waxing?
I'm still trying to figure out the best method for ridding myself of upper lip hair. I've found professional waxing works the best and I usually have my upper lip waxed when I go to have my hair done but I'm not terribly keen on the idea of going to a hair place just for a lip waxing every time I need it done. Plus it costs money and that adds up.

I've tried the creams that dissolve the hair, but have found them messy and often find I need to leave them on until they start to /burn/ in order for them to dissolve all of the hair.

We did purchase a lip waxing kit (forget which brand) but the stuff was a joke. It didn't remove any hair at all. So what I want to know is, are there any lip waxing kits that /work/?

I have OCD and I'm very picky about my upper lip hair, so I really need a waxing product that removes all or almost all of it. I don't mind having to pluck a stray hair or two afterwards, but if it's leaving a lot behind, it's going to bug the heck out of me.
Bleach is messy and smelly too. I want to avoid things that burn/make a mess/smell horrible if possible.

				ANSWER:
Professional is really your best bet. Lol.
Try bleaching it if you've got dark lip hair and light skin.

			QUESTION:
Upper Lip Situation?
When I was younger (5 gradish), I shaved my upper lip. I honestly cant tell you why I did because it did not look like I had a moustache, but needless to say, I did.
After a few years when I really started to care about my looks, I was stuck with light brown upper lip hair. To take care of this problem, I started to bleach it.
For a few years this seemed to be the best option, but soon even the bleached hairs were noticable.
Just a month ago, I decided to try a hair deplitory cream. I used Sally Hansen. This didnt work all that great because after about two days, my upper lip hair was growing back. I was also left with burnt skin on my upper lip. So then, instead of using cream, I decided to tweeze.
I have been tweezing for only a week, but I'm already noticing the problems with it. I have to tweeze everyday and there are always those few hairs that I just cant get at.
Now I'm stuck, I dont know if I should let it grow back and just bleach it, or maybe get it waxed.
i have the tiniest little bit of upper lip hair that i think only i can see, but i am a perfectionist so what is the best way to get rid of it? i have tried bleaching which i think is ok, ive used hair removal cream but it made my face feel weirde for weeks after.. do you think waxing??

				ANSWER:
Waxing is definitely the best way to go. You can buy it at some pharmacy's but make sure its the one that you melt on the stove (Usually comes solid in a mug). Make sure you read instructions properly else it can be painful. Also make sure you do it before a weekend when you think you won't go anywhere because it the area will turn red.

Last point: Make sure you put moisturizer over the area afterward and make sure you don't scratch it either.

Not convinced? Waxing pulls the root and will take the longest for the hair to grow back, sometimes not growing back at all

3 Super Secrets to Eliminating Your Upper Lip Wrinkles Naturally

You know that dream you have, the one about not having any upper lip wrinkles at all? I've had that one too.

When you look yourself in the mirror and see those upper lip wrinkles, you kind of cringe, and hope that somehow, somewhere you can get rid of your upper lip wrinkles.

Well I am here to tell you that you can significantly reduce them by following these 3 simple steps.

Step #1 - Being Healthy

I know this one can be tough, and I don't even know if you're healthy already.

If you are, then kudos! I remember when I first started thinking about wrinkles, I was smoking, eating pizza, chips and doing all kinds of things that would eventually lead to bad skin and probably a premature death.

I slowly started throwing out these unhealthy foods, and habits. I started eating more fruits and vegetables.

At first it was hard, my body wasn't use to eating all those fruits and greens, but I knew that I had to do it to look good, so I did my best.

I am happy to say now that it had a big impact on my skin, but I have a few more tips for upper lip wrinkles left, and these are excellent.

Step #2 - Hygiene Products

That soap, shampoo, conditioner and that product you wash your clothes with, they all contain ingredients and chemicals that dry and harm your skin.

Almost everyone has these in their home, and I know that I did too. But once I got rid of them (a lot of throwing out stuff, I'm sorry!) my skin improved once again.

Step #3 - High-Quality Skin Care

This one was the toughest for me to realize. I was using all those popular skin care products that promised me immortality and skin like a baby, but it never happened.

I also did some research and found out that these big companies were actually using chemicals in their product that could promote cancer and make your skin look worse, amazing isn't it?

It is extremely hard to find a high-quality skin care product, but I put in the time to research and I finally found one, and the one that I have used daily now has had a big impact on how I look.

My upper lip wrinkles are diminishing day by day, and if you follow all these tips, and get a high-quality skin care product, yours will too.
