QUESTION:
I've had botox but the wrinkles have moved to under my eyes. Is this normal?
I had botox about a week ago and it has got rid of my crows feet but the wrinkles are now under my eyes. Is this normal?-
ANSWER:
I've actually read that yes, wrinkles have a tendency to move after botox! This is why people go overboard and get too much done. But think about it, you have this extra skin which has stretched - hence the wrinkles - so if you tighten them the skin has to go wrinkle up somewhere else! Most often they move to the nose.... (it's true)!Although in your case it could also be another common result of Botox - where you fixate on your wrinkles, then get them fixed, so that part is smooth, and then all of a sudden you notice other wrinkles, which were there before, but which you hadn't noticed!

QUESTION:
botox and wrinkles under the eyes?
has anyone used botox for the wrinkles under the eyes and/or crows feet? Any other option out there to minimize? please share your experiences. Thank you.-
ANSWER:
I have had Botox between my brows to lessen the furrow there and I like the results a lot. Botox, however, is not used UNDER the eyes, but can be used on the side of the eyes where crows feet occur. If you would like to minimize wrinkles under the eyes, you might consider Thermage. It's a method using radio frequency to heat up the collagen causing it to build up and firm up the skin. You can get more info on thermage.com.
I like the way Botox causes my facial expressions to look relaxed, not tense.

Know of any good eye creams to help reduce fine lines/wrinkles?
Know of anything to plump up some minor crows feet without botox or other surgery? Thanks!-
ANSWER:
Avon makes some pretty good stuff, so does JAFRA. Yves makes some about the same quality as JAFRA, but it's a bit cheaper from Yves..comes in a little wand. BTW..that guy who told you it would cost you 100.00 to do your carpet after renting a rug doctor?! We just rented one this last weekend, it was 21.00 for the rental and 4.99 for the defoamer. I think he was exaggerating.

ANSWER:
If you have crow's feet that are bothering you, then Botox is certainly the best answer for you at the moment. And the amount of Botox that is needed to treat that area is very small, so the cost for the procedure should also be small, as most providers of Botox charge by the amount of material that is used.

QUESTION:
I'm still in highschool, but i'm getting wrinkles!?
I recently noticed i have wrinkles on the backs on my wrists/hands and on my knees, but they stand out, and i also have slight crows-feet and faint wrinkles under my eyes. It makes me really paranoid, and i am constantly comparing it to my Friends. I have quite sensitive skin, and i have freckles in those areas, but i don't understand because i look after my skin really well and all.Is there anything i can do about this?
Can you get botox on your knees and arms?
What is causing it?
How can i conceal it or get rid of it?
-
ANSWER:
You can't un-wrinkle grapes once they turned into raisins.
I knew about this at age 9.I've protected myself from not being out in the sun, if I was I'd play in the shade, swim briefly when the sun had gone down, and covered up from the sun even in the car or anywhere boating.
But guess what . . . . after all that? I still got Discoid Lupus, caused from the sun. So more than ever I am more & more using my wide brim hat when I'm outdoors, or an umbrella. More & more people, I also noticed, they're using sunbrella, patio umbrella, beach umbrella, or rain umbrella when they're walking. Am I being a good role model? Well, in Asia, people use umbrellas all the time, because they're trying to avoid looking like farmers. Dark skinned & wrinkles. In some places like Europe & USA, the darker the skin, the more good looking they look. They think that's beautiful. Pamela Anderson used to be a lovely lady, but she looks older than Shannen Doherty, and they're just 2 years apart. Shannen has nice skin, and I'm almost in my 60's, and yesterday, the new receptionist at my doctor's office thought Im still in my 30's.
Wrinkles are caused from too much sun, too much swimming, long baths (quick showers are best), hot tubs, saunas and even from the heat from the sun while driving/walking I get flakey even when protected.
If you've been burned from the sun before the age of 18, you get freckles. Freckles or moles - if continued to get burned as you get older - will get bumpier & darker.
I use gloves many times, instead of washing my hands for: gardening, involving paper work, cleaning, washing dishes, kitchen preparations. During winter, spring, fall outdoors I use leather gloves, also to prevent germs in contact.
Sorry, once there you can't take them off. You can by laser treatment, but like tattoo removal, it takes at least 12 sessions but THEY HURT LIKE . . .
The price of beauty is another money making business, like hair, it's a billion dollar business and they make promises they can't keep, there's no money-back guarantee if you get sickER or if your hair is damaged. Hair like skin, needs to be protected at all times.

QUESTION:
How to get rid of crow's feet?
I tried botox, but it doesn't remove wrinkles; it just makes them less visible when I smile. I did not see much results after microdermobrasion. What else is out there that really works? I am too young for a surgery, but the wrinkles around my eyes make me look older.-
ANSWER:
Eye lift, unless you're 18 you are not too young for surgery!

QUESTION:
Primer under foundation make-up?
Does anyone use a "primer" under their foundation make-up? I have some crows feet (wrinkles at the corners of the eyes) I'd like to help cover because money is tight this year (so no botox) and wondered if "primer" really worked on wrinkles or not. Concealers seem best for skin imperfections and primers seem to claim they help with wrinkles. Wouldn't the foundation fill in the wrinkles or does a primer have a different job?
Thanks everyone for your help! Have a great holiday and drive safely!!!!-
ANSWER:
Botox is worthless. Get Smashbox targeted pore and line primer, or just accept that you're getting old and no one cares that you have wrinkles.

QUESTION:
Dysport vs. Botox please?
I just recently tried Dysport around my eyes (crows feet area) and after three days, I am seeing pretty good results. The muscles have relaxed and because I am only 42 (like to think that is still young) the wrinkles were not too deep and have begun to disappear. Dysport is currently offering al rebate which means my first two sessions will cost only 0 each time (well worth it in my opinion). My question, does anyone have any information on the effects of this product vs. Botox? Do you think one is better than the other? Once I have used both rebates, I will then want to evaluate and decide whether or not I want to try Botox and was hoping for some insight. Thank you!-
ANSWER:
Dysport and Botox are both type A botulinum toxins, and they work the same way in the body to reduce dynamic facial wrinkles. In the clinical studies that were done for the FDA, both Dysport and Botox had similar effectiveness and duration, as well as similar side effects. In the clinic where I work, most patients haven't found much difference between the two products. However, there is a very slight difference in the molecular structure of the two products, so theoretically there may be some individuals who respond better to one than another; the only way to know if you are one of those is to have both treatments done and see if you can tell a difference. After your next Dysport treatment, you can give Botox a try. I had been getting Botox done for the last 5 years (I'm 30 now, and get the treatments for preventing wrinkles), but I had Dysport for my last two treatments and haven't been able to see any difference at all--they are both fantastic!

QUESTION:
How to get rid of wrinkle under eyes?
Just wondered if botox would get rid of them i am 34 they are not crows feet just lines under eyes where dark circles form, if not botox what else would get rid of them, I know its not a major problem but its all i can see when i look in mirror and makeup emphasises them any advice please.-
ANSWER:
There are many great wrinkle creams out there but the ones that work best tend to be very costly. Depending on what country you are in, (Ill assume the US for now), id try some of the medium cost creams that you could get in some department stores ie Macy's , if that doesnt work try some of the higher end creams from cosmetic based stores like Sephora or Ulta.Botox will definitely clear that up but it is not a permanent fix. "Botox injections typically last between three to four months. An individual patient’s results will vary, but they can expect this approximate amount of effectiveness to the treatment." "Generally, Botox injections cost 0 to 0 per area injected. It is important that you discuss your budget with your surgeon well in advance so that you can make the most informed decisions." (cited below)
That said, Botox is a pretty fast fix but you would be looking at a 1000 or more a year in upkeep for it, so that may make those 100 dollar creams at cosmetic stores more appealing.
Good luck!

QUESTION:
Got a question regarding wrinkles....?
I'm a 50 yr. old woman, and, of course, I'm bothered by the crows feet around my eyes, and the lines around my mouth. Not to mention a bit of sagging. I don't want surgery, and I don't want botox (I wouldn't want to keep up with the botox treatments) . I would, however, consider something like a laser procedure. What kind of procedures are out there?-
ANSWER:
Consider fillers. I had lines around my mouth and had filler put in my lips. It is very natural looking and took the lines away....compleatly. Also, a bit of filler in the wrinkles between my eyes...took 5 years off!

Kicking a rock down the dirt road,

An intersection to nowhere--
Exercise for a stiff back.Cold crispy winds blow leaves

The air is dry-cold, cracking lips. It's fun stepping on a leaf
Catching it underfoot;
They crunch like potato chips. The rock arrives first to the cross--faithfully
Followed--and with a sarcastic smile,
I search for a shroud. At the dead railroad crossing
A sign reads:

What a writer thinks is his masterpiece, goes down the drain (heh).
Thanks so much.
John.-
ANSWER:
Well Mr. "Me" I can hardly offer a critique as this is much superior to anything I can do. I can say what I like - I like the language of locales i.e. "crick". I like the use of salt and the biblical reference of looking back. The device of kicking the rock is very effective and brings immediacy, also a thread to follow the story of slaughter - but peculiarly apt, again because of locale. I admire how you can convey a sharp sensation of sound with words.
Last but not least the combination of past and present wrongs juxtaposed makes each more defined.

QUESTION:
How can I make my skin more oily?
I know it may seem like an odd question. Normally people want the opposite. But I know that the more oily your skin is the less apparent the aging process appears. I'm 20 years old, will turn 21 this July, but I can already see the signs of aging. Signs that I that I should not be seeing. Crow's feet, under eye wrinkles, fine lines and parenthesis. Although I do plan on getting facial plastic surgery soon, I want to fix this in a more natural way before resorting to botox injections.
I have combination skin. My skin is oiliest on and around my nose and chin and somewhat oily on my forehead.
I always get comments about how I look so old, or get surprised looks when I tell people I'm 20. I used to shrug it off, but now it's starting to get to me. So, are there any foods that can make my skin more oily and youthful looking? I know of pasta, are there any others?-
ANSWER:
1] you can't make it more oily, but better shape? Yes!
2] best foods for beautiful skin -
salmon
broccoli [ and other dark green leafy veggies ]
avacadoes
mangoes
almonds
cottage cheese
green tea
berries
low fat yogurt
water
Note; pasta is not on the list
3] Buy cleanser, sunscreen, and moisturizer for combination skin.
4] wash and sunscreen face every AM; wash and moistuize every PM
5] use an apricot scrub once or twice a week
6] wear sunglasses
7] avoid fried, fast, and junk food - even diet junk foods
8] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day
9] take a good multivitamin with minerals daily

QUESTION:
Should I get plastic surgery?
Ok, I'm scared!!! I seen my mom the other day,and i really noticed her crows feet around her eyes. She's 56, and I'm 23, I do not want any sort of wrinkle when I'm older, so should i get like Botox, or a face lift to prevent this?-
ANSWER:
wrinkles are perfectly natural and a healthy way to age, they are just a product of gettng older and not only can botox look terrible if it's gotten wrong but it's also very expensive and can be dangerous. If you want to try and avoid wrinkles just make sure to maintain a healthy diet and excersize balance, eat plenty of natural fruits and vegetables and get a healthy amount of sleep.
Never try to change who you are because everyone is beautiful in their own way. =]
